    I'm on my second E34 - this one with (now) 239,000 + on the clock.

    Brilliant cars, superb mile-munchers, reasonably economy on a decent run (but don't ask around town...) very, very reliable and relatively cheap to maintain and service.

    Front wishbone bushes? About every 60-70,000 miles if you use reasonable quality components (use OEM-spec Lemhforder) - they're not that expensive, even if done at a garage (just had a quote of £230 for both sides on mine, inc. labour and VAT).

    Wifey wants me to look for a "newer" car, purely because mine on paper is so old. I'm actually looking for a decent E34 525tds Touring......
