connecting sharp gx20 to pc problem

Hi, can someone help me with this?

I have just got a usb cable to connect my sharp gx20 to my pc.i have installed the handset manager and when i run it, a message at the bottom of the screen says 'trying to connect to the phone'. but it never does. the phone is switched on and phone also states that data cable is conected ok.

the driver is also downloaded although im using xp.

I just dont seem to be able to connect my phone at all whether it be via hanset manager or just by accessing it another way.

pleasae help cos i've been working with this for about 2 hours now and i'm now lost!

Mikey, might be a firewall issue??

I've connected a GX20 to my PC back in the day with no trouble whatsoever.

Did you get the correct pack? The GX30 is similar, ut different, its a common mistake.

yeah its defo the correct pack. its compatible with gx10 and gx20.i've tried it on both these phones and it wont work on both of them!

How do i go about the firewall way? Sorry bit of a novice with pc's.

i have tried it with the firewall off, but still cant connect at all. anyone any more ideas?
