Electricity night time usage mystery

Does anybody know when on the hourly graph it say 4am is that the two hour previous of the 2 hours starting at 4am?
Took my meter reading last night and it does not show as much usage as the monitor but it does depend on which bars on the chart I add together. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Would it not be the fridge freezer? Mine kicks in every so often to about the same usage as a TV being switched on for a bit then goes back to it's usual level.
Mine comes on more than twice a night, could be that yours does longer bursts less frequently.0 -

Possibly, I could try the plug monitor on that tonight. It is an old fridge/freezer - was here when we moved in 10 years ago and is not frost free. Funny that it would be at the same time every night but everything is possibleThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Judging from mine, it is the period starting at the indicated time.
My monitor always indicates more than the actual usage when compared to the meter.
For example, my last quarterly bill was for 934 kWh and exactly agreed with the readings as I provided them. But the monitor said I used 1,793 kWh based on its daily usage figures for the same period. Even I was surprised by that as I had reckoned it usually exagerates the usage by about 20%.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Wow so over 90% out! I guess it would have been more painful the other way around. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Certainly would have been!
What the monitor is good for though is spotting sudden changes in the instantaeous reading. That's how I realised the fridge's anti-frost feature used more power. I'd got used to the monitor jumping up to about 500W when the fridge cut in, but occasionally noticed it jumping to between 800 and 900W without anything extra going. Further investigation revealed a little heating element inside the freezer. Seemed bizarre, but I concluded it must be the anti-frost device, and it works, so I'm not complaining!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards.
