Our LPG has more than doubled in three years. I am now paying 53p per litre. It was 23p in Nov 2007.
So British Gas is splashed all over the news when there's a 7% increase, what about us, roughly 5% increase last month and another 5% increase this month from BP and they never fill the tanks up before the increase, wonder why?
Why aren't Ofgem looking at these guys, especially the profits they make.
When I retire I'm not sure I'll be able to live in this house anymore when I need the heating on all day!
Are they thieves? I'm not sure....

Oh, great....
"Ofgem does not regulate the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sector and we therefore have no influence in this area."
Why not? Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

Isn't Ofgem investigating Wholesale energy prices and retail? Report supposed to come out in March.
The timing does seem designed to shut customer up, without actually doing anything while it's cold. I expect somebody to pop out in April, waving a piece of paper, saying to camera, "we found nothing fishy, have a nice day." and then disappear back in.
I think what you need is legislation that will allow your tank to be refilled by any supplier. Such monopoly is surely illegal?0 -

Several LPG users have written to MPs, gone to Trading Standards, etc, etc. Results? - either woffle, or "it's not our remit" or ... ofgem's reply!
But we hope that with your support we may get enough backing for Martin Lewis to talk to top politicians and the regulators. Yes, the top politicians have promised to listen to him - and it'll be harder to give him woffle or the "run away children and don't waste my time" spiel...

And if you want to read some LPG horror stories look at the Bulk LPG - Cheapest supplier / supply line? sticky.0 -
our first order with our new supplier PREMIER GAS was delivered in november 2009 at 32p p/litre our latest price rise in november 2010 takes the price to 48p p/litre so a massive 50% rise in 12months, if this was to happen to mains gas the rioting now would pale in comparison to what would happen. rural dwellers are victims off profiteering and no-one seems to care0

My son lives off piste in a small gated residential community in the sticks, they use LPG via a large gas holding vessel that serves each metered house. F-gas are the suppliers I think?
Correct, mega rip off from these suppliers, but so is NG, ok not as expensive as LPG, but we are all victims of market forces, especially at this time of year.
I do care for the fact there are many households out there who will struggle to keep warm this hellish just started winter, I do care there will be many out there falling into fuel poverty, what can I do? Unfortunately not a lot, as harsh as this may sound, down to the household to look at alternatives (and there are a few) I realise some, if not all are expensive, but down to you to do something about it, even if to reduce LPG useage?
As for remaining households, there are provisions in place for help and, I sincerely know accessing various avenues is far from easy!!
