Tuning a tv

Sorry for the dumb question, but, how do you tune a tv using the remote?
Do you just press menu?
Am worried I'll break it!:o

Depends on the TV make/model as to how you do it, but usaually Menu and then a few more options - if it's new then there is usually something like Autosetup.
  • Should be under menu - find something like settings then autotune.

If you give a company name and what tv you have, people may be able to give you a more specific step.

Just have a play around - I doubt you will manage to break the tv!

There really is no need for sarcasm, It is unhelpful as it is unnecessary.

Can you knit, no, thought not, most 5 year olds I know can. No one including you knows anything until they are taught.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • A quick Google found this:

p.s. You'll only be able to break your TV with a remote by throwing it!

I honestly meant no offence but as a pensioner I find that my most 5 year olds can work electronic things far better than I can.

    Read the manual.

If no manual available, google the manufacturer and model number plus 'manual' or 'instructions' or 'tuning'

If you don't have the model number, look on the back of the set for it, or on the box that it came in.

We're all assuming that you're trying to tune it to the ANALOGUE TV channels. If you have it connected to a satellite or freeview box, connected with either a SCART or HDMI lead, the procedure will be different.

How about you tell us the manufacturer, model number and whether or not you have satellite, freeview, and what you've tried so far?

    And ignorant to boot.

Are you very sensitive or something about internet remarks?

    .

Sarcasm is definitely needed if the OP asks a question easily sorted BY READING THE MANUAL.
