If you've not already seen the vBCode FAQ, then I suggest it might be worth reading.
There are a few "neat" little vBcodes, such as thread & image linking, ie:
[php]
[thread]27881[/thread]
[thread=27881]This Thread[/thread]
[/php]
Does this: [thread]27881[/thread] & this: [thread=27881]This Thread[/thread]
You can to the same with posts too! Should help cut down on the number of characters in you're signature (which is limited), leaving you more characters free for use.
