I would say dont waste your time as I forwarded a number of the above scam emails to autotrader, and they didnt reply.

Also it would help if autotrader put a limit (eg 20) on the number of phone details or email details they give to one person/PC per day, as Im fed up of being called daily by another car sales website promising to match me to a suitable buyer within a week for £99. 0208 216 1560/1530 FYI. I dont bother answering or returning their calls now.

Autotrader don't really give a monkeys about fraud on their site. Fraudulent ads stick out like a sore thumb, but they refuse to monitor them.

Just a on a serious note: most sellers aren't daft enough to use PayPal to sell a high-value item like a car. eBay's and PayPal's commission combined on such a sale can be eye watering. As to all the other carp being high-lighted in this thread, I guess if most of us opened the contents of our spam boxes we'd harvest an identical amount. Question is, why bother?
