Royal Mail, Special Delivery and Consequential Loss
I've previously used Royal Mail Special Delivery for sending cashback claims, it appears that I should also pay extra for consequential loss, because the financial loss would be as a consequential result of the failure to deliver, not the value of the contents of the letter.
£4.10 plus £1.25.

Recorded delivery = £1.00
I'll try recorded delivery and a follow-up phone call.

I sent off a claim to e2save on th 16th via Special Delivery which has not been signed for according to the RM website. I called RM and they told me it HAS been signed but can't be shown on the system? Srange. Bottom line is that SD is a waste of cash if sending in cashback claims.0

Exactley the same problem I has with SD. I got my cashback in the end though, after sending 2 recorded del & 1 special del claim. I've just taken out my latest deal at thelink, hopefully there cashback will be more reliable, they don't hide there name like carephonewarehouse.Beancounter wrote:I sent off a claim to e2save on th 16th via Special Delivery which has not been signed for according to the RM website. I suppose the bottom line is that if you are directed by the company to send it in recorded delivery and you do then you have proof of posting. If then something went wrong and the company refused to pay you and you take them to court you are claiming you have undertaken your part of the agreement. Its part of the game and in this case the post office win by selling you a pretty useless service.0
