Thanks for the update gailey, does that mean your total payments to add to your total are £4238.36? Well done if so!

If it's not right, could you please let me know and I'll change it.

    Hi

sorry not correct as jan stood at 725.

Add all my payments made yesterday to post. 4238.02:T

checked twice add those 2 figures together.

total paid so far 5008.02 so far 1/3 of target:j
updated siggie to reflect that amount:D

Should hopefully add another grand to that by end of feb.

as hubby has loan that goes out on 15th payday.
Hoping to pay off 500 off cc all being well or leats get him uptodate to avoid late payment charges.

Dont know if anyone else is counting this in their running total.

but im adding any bankcharges to our monthly figure as its outgoing towards debt.

Also interest paid on both our overdrafts is around 30pounds each and goes out end of each month.

The only debt I have left is 1700 od so hoping to gradually reduce that as barclays not demanded it back and making good money out of me. so my payments will be more sporadic rather than regular .
hubby usually pays most of his mid month when he gets paid.

Still hoping for tax rebate as would love to clear the 2500 on tesco credit card by september:D

Was planning to use break from ctax/water next month to pay down more debt but desperatly need few thing sadly.

Am trying to get hubby to switch a few things energy, cut back sky, insurance and contacts so we can use money saved as extra debt payments.

wont count hubbies until its paid.

Will try read more often as love reading everyones progress people doing so well. I cant believe its only feb still.

Well done on your payments gailey but am I the only one who's totally confused by what you've got left to pay?!

You say your only debt left is your od at 1700, but then in the next para you say you've got £2500 on Tesco CC to pay? And then in your sig you seem to be wanting to pay off £15,000 of debt this year.

Sorry, have I read it completely wrong?

    Sorry to confuse.

the 15,000 is joint figure me and hubbys debts combined.
we doing it as joint challange.
I have paid off all debts in my name bar one

my 1700 od.-which I want to clear by xmas.

Hubby on other hand has 2creditcards

    2500 tesco
    4500 santander

this is what hes aiming to clear this year.

he also has bank od 2700.

loan which know we cant clear as remaining balance 15,000 ends jan 2015.

Aim this year within 15grand challange is to pay off creditcards and overdraft.
which next year will allow us to overpay on loan and eventually be debt free:j

Chose 15,000 as managed nearly that amount in last years challange between us although total debt dident go down by that much last year with bankcharges, interest rates and some respending due to car of doom:(

Hope this helps and makes sense.

so we cleared 5008.02 together this year so far.
if I manage to clear 1700 od.
hubby manages to clear 7000 off cards
His loan repayments are 386a month so thats 4632 out of 15000 target.

Add all that together comes to whopping 17,954:eek:
which makes the target 15 seem realistic as aimed for 20k last challange but dident manage it.

Now I cleared my loan, barclaycard and catalougue I have no regular bills to pay apart from 30od interest charges.
I switched phone contract to payg. so aprt from nursury fees I have no fixed bills from my income so can hopefully make inroads in remaining debt and help hubby out a bit with his as we married whats mine is yours ect.

But the 1700 still be challanging as have no income apart from cb, tax credit and what I make off ebay.

Hubbys loan gets paid every month without fail.
But paying the 7grand off cards will be hard as no payrise, everythings going up. hoping tax rebate will pay a chunk and he makes some bonus this year as no way he can take on 2nd job.
I will start looking september time as 3rd babys due in april.

But im detremined and doing challange allows us to keep track and motivates us.

Ah, ok. Didn't realise it was a joint challenge. My debt is joint too; in fact DH has about £2.5k on another CC but I haven't counted that!

Thanks Gailey, I meant to add your previous total to that but forgot, doh! I'll correct it now. That's a great total, well done!
