polka purpura: Don't worry about it! Every little bit helps and January is always going to be a difficult month to make extra payments.

runninglea: I feel your pain. I HATE having to fill the car up and seeing those little numbers clicking round on the pump :(

Is it sad that I can't wait till payday so I can update my figure on here? :rotfl: don't answer that!

Looking forward to seeing the total we've managed to pay off together in January too!

Well done on the payments everyone! I'm off to update the totals now. LAM, I'll update your name too.

I've put a few listings on Turbolister today ready to upload tonight or tomorrow, so I've finally made a bit of effort!

  • Just paid off my Sainsbury's card so that's another £27.39 off, so that's £87.44/£6,842.49 from No. 131. I've cashed in a SAYE policy so hopefully I'll have a chunk more to add as soon as the cheques cleared.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

deeper blue its definitely not sad to be excited about pay day. i got paid yesterday and was beside myself to make my first big payment.

i had been paying off for the last 4 months but had only been managing between £70 and £120 a month. i knew christmas was going to be expensive so couldnt wait for the january wages to hit the bank account and make a decent payment.

i paid of 10% of my debt - how good does that feel - brilliant.

now i have to wait a whole month until i get paid again but im excited and determined and looking forward to paying off another chunk. im going to try and make each months payment even slightly more than the last month (just a little personal challenge - lol).

one little bit of good news we have finally repaid all the overpaid taxcredits (we havent had any for about 4 years) and have been told we will be getting £42 a month from april 1st. woo hoo not a fortune but very welcome thank you very much xx
