Hi all
Can you add me to the list, please, jwil. I've gone seriously off the rails this year, but it's a new year, new start
I can't seem to find a target that motivates me (too high - get depressed and spend too much; too low - get relaxed and spend too much). I like the title of your challenge, can I have that as my target please - just to pay as much as I can.
I'll start on Friday when I'll (hopefully) have more than 55p to my name
Good luck everyone.

I have already said I am going to pay off my remaining debt, but here is a few more things I want to do in 2011...
1. In my local cheap card shop, you can buy 7 cards for a pound (and they are really nice too) so I am going to work out how many I need for the year and file them January to December so I never forget!!
2. My daughter starts secondary school in September and I reckon I will need about £150 for uniform (!!!) so i worked out to have it all by July, I need to put by 72p perday. If I do it daily I won't even notice!
3. Batch cook as much as I can!

Morning
Hope you don't mind but thought I would post this morning, to give myself a kick up the backside and motivate one's self. I have put a target of £8.5K which is 3 credit cards and an overdraft. I have decided to attack the demon egg card as this is the highest apr 19.9%. I have a standing balance of £3570.64 and currently pay d/d of £200/month. Last month's interest was £54.ish so going to try and throw some extra cash at this (not that I seem to have any at the moment or even the last couple of years. But any cash that I make on selling crap about the house on ebay, it shall go to Egg).
I have been doing the onepoll surveys for about 3 months but only earned £19.30 so far, so it will take ages to reach the £40 payout.
Hope everyone is having more success than me!
Thanks Eb69 for the signature help that you posted. I have been reading your diary daily and find it very inspirational, it must be cause I am on here!

Good idea CL. See where people are finding the money.
I wonder how much my soul will go for on ebay?
I sold my soul to Natwest many moons agoIm sure my "advisor" was the devil in disguise!!
Im a member of many challenges, so one more wont hurt i suppose!
I would like to aim to clear my debts in 2011 although im not sure of the true total  i have overdrafts totalling £1600 and a personal loan which is showing online as £3500 ish owing although this doesnt included any interest, so proberly nearer £5000 owing on the loan est.
Im going to clear the overdrafts first ( by may i hope ) and then see what i can do about the loan, for now i will declare my goal as....

Both my girls are now in secondary school and its expensive come july/ sept buying all the stuff they need. One thing i do is save up my clubcard vouchers and tescos normally have a double them up offer on clothing when the kids are due back to school, i can't buy all their uniform, but can get shirts, trousers, shoes, bags, socks, underwear ect.Everyday im shufflin' Proud Padder ~ All Hail The Power of Pad0 -
Welcome everyone, it's good to see you all on board. I've added you all to post 2, so if I've missed anyone or got the amounts wrong then feel free to slap me across the head!
It's really good to see everyone taking part, and hopefully we can support each other to get to our goals. I like cakelover's suggestion that we say where the money has come from to help pass on tips.
If we all achieve our goals, we shall pay off collectively over £270,000 next year, just from those who have signed up already. How fantastic would that be!
If you are lurking do join us, there is no amount that is too small or too large to challenge yourself to pay off. Every extra bit off the debt is a result and brings your DFD forward. If you pay off an extra £50 next year that you would otherwise have frittered away, it's still a success!
Keep posting everyone, I think we've all set ourselves some challenging targets, so we've all got some work to do!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Can I join in please?

I've paid another £500 today. That's just out of my reorganising, so there'll be a bit more of that before the end of the month."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0
