    Advice please :o

My lovely mother has offered to (effectively) write off the money i owe her :o as a means of trying to help me out :o:o:o However if she needed the funds in an emergency then i would have to pay her back which is fair enough. I do already have access to the amount i owe her in a savings account (due to mature end of the year but if necessary i would have to take it out of there before then). Other than that I would always need to have this amount available as savings just in case. So, would you count this as money paid off as the funds i have are ear-marked just in case or would you just deduct the amount off total debt?
