Thanks dedicatedDFW
Have done a quick total for March and stands at 1311.28 / 6000
I have made some April payments early though after payday on Monday so will have to work harder for the next few weeks to chip away a bit more!
Oooh it feels good seeing it like that because although its a lot I know the more I pay the sooner it will be gone!0 -

Stupid question alert!!!!!!
I know people do different calculations but I'm wondering how all you debt busters / savers work out your monthly payments
I was trying to look at money paid off my actual debt. i.e. without interest but this is seeming way too complicated. So do most of you just add up the payments you make or look at the amount your debt is reduced by?
I just use how much I have paid off the actual captial . So I have actually paid more each month than what is in my signature, but I dont count the interest part in my total. Mind you I am including my mortgage in my total and I dont think many others are - so you need to do what is best for you0 -

I was feeling pants about not being able to make my £800 overpayment so I changed my £350 overpayment to a £400 overpayment while I was in the bank paying it off! Walked out all pleased with myself and then realised I don't have a lot to live on now :rotfl: . BUT as I've learned, if it's not there I can't spend it, so better to overstretch I say! I've got more than enough for the basics so I'll just have to forgo a few niceties.
Total now: £4252/£8283
The means justifies the end I guess
..or rather, the other way around..:o0 -
