well done jwil. That's better than I thought actually. So we're all ready for April then people? keep updating; it inspires other people and it means you're motivating yourself too! I'm £355 behind on my monthly total disappointingly, but once our US trip is out of the way we will hopefully be back on track.

Yes, it was better than I expected too, though there were a handful of very large payments during the month which inflated the total.

Let's see if we can beat it during April everyone!

    Hi Everyone

Hmm not sure if everyone would class this as an overpayment but i am going to call it £200 paid off funds owed to OH. The reason being that OH has had me paying for something for the last few months which he usually pays for  (lots going on here, but yes have asked for the money and not seen it) totted it all up and it is over £200 i've paid out :eek: so am simply going to deduct £200 off the money i owe him  Off to update my sig :j please let me know if you don't think this should be classed as a payment but as I would have paid this off target 1 (and more besides as i have rounded the amount down- crikey knows why) i think that its okay to do?

Oops almost forgot - DD came out today also and usual transfer done to a bill and a small additional payment to target 1. Best get me calculator :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: £336.30 to deduct £2443.75/10,000

As far as I'm concerned, if it's reducing your debt, then it's a valid payment!

May 27th. It gives me even more incentive to blast these horrible debts - not that any is needed.

Not long now parsniphead, how exciting!

    Advice please :o

My lovely mother has offered to (effectively) write off the money i owe her :o as a means of trying to help me out :o:o:o However if she needed the funds in an emergency then i would have to pay her back which is fair enough. I do already have access to the amount i owe her in a savings account (due to mature end of the year but if necessary i would have to take it out of there before then). Other than that I would always need to have this amount available as savings just in case. So, would you count this as money paid off as the funds i have are ear-marked just in case or would you just deduct the amount off total debt?

    Ta

That's lovely of your Mother, how sweet. I think that if it was me, I would just reduce my debt by that amount, not count it as a payment. If I was to actually take that money and pay it towards a credit card, then I would count it as a payment.

    Does that make any sense?
