I think it's because I've had my plan in place for so long, that anything outside of that is scary, even if it's paying something off early! I'm obviously a loon. Won't give me any extra cash, just means that I can pay more to the remainder of the debt each month. :o

I'm now on over 36% though!

I know what you mean. You get to the point where everything is so meticulously planned that even good things that throw your plan out make you feel a bit narky! Lol.

Payday for me today - so loan payment went out. I was planning to overpay it by £800 this month but my dad needed some cash fairly rapidly so I've leant him £500 a couple of months. He's helped me out SO much in the past and they're having a rough time of it because my mum is ill, so it's really the least I could do. He's going to pay it back in June with interest. :)

So now I should only be overpaying by £300 but this would leave my total debt at £4031 and I really wanted to be under £4k so I've overpaid by £350. Will just have to tighten the purse strings a bit this month.

Total debt now stands at £3981.
Total repayment this month (discounting interest): £596

She will, thanks. Just waiting for surgery to fix her up! :)

I was feeling pants about not being able to make my £800 overpayment so I changed my £350 overpayment to a £400 overpayment while I was in the bank paying it off! Walked out all pleased with myself and then realised I don't have a lot to live on now :rotfl: . BUT as I've learned, if it's not there I can't spend it, so better to overstretch I say! I've got more than enough for the basics so I'll just have to forgo a few niceties.

£68.31 to Virgin. Need to make a balance transfer as my deal runs out next month; looks like I can transfer to an offer I've got on my Barclaycard.

Good morning folks! Hope you're all well.

Just paid another £12.50 to barclaycard. (Updated signature too).

I'm eager to get these silly debts out of the way. Going to start sorting things for ebay - this is made easier by the fact we're moving house soon, so everything needs sorting anyway. Also received refund from tax from written off car, so think that will go towards debts - will update with that as and when it happens!

Good luck everyone, and keep up the good work x

A vision without a plan is just a dream.
