  • My re pub dinner yesterday evening:

The scene: a small, urban local pub frequented by regulars.
Two of us stride in and towards the bar. No sign of menus anywhere. "Hello, are you doing food?" "Nope, we've no kitchen until January. Sorry." "Oh... Well we'll just have drinks then. Have any good lagers?"

On a scale of 0 to 10 where 10 is wildly conspicuous, how obvious was it that we were there to ms? :p
Well, I'm off to this very same place on Saturday! except mine is in Perth:eek:

I am a rubbish shopper at the mo. The stuff I didn't get done due to snow is still either being postponed (due to a snow related car problem) if it's out of town, or screwed up! Lost a receipt. some photos didn't save properly, or just forgotten as i didn't write it down properly! Bah! Months spent building up a good reputation - and I'm blowing it all!

Hi, Don't be too disheartened, we have all experienced this catalogue of mishaps and errors. It's a case of amazing when times are good or dowright s*'@ when the chips are down. :)

Dont worry about it - I lost a receipt to one recently and rang them to tell them. They were good about it although it had to be reshopped, we all do it and with all the snow etc the ms co's are seeing it all over!

I thought this week would be quiet in the run down to Christmas but I keep getting calls and asked to do urgent jobs! Roll on next week when it should be quiet!

PS - vital part of the MS kit is a bottle of wine! :rotfl:

Was there a big difference in address. I once had an issue where there were two bookmakers on the same row (i didn't know) and they rejected the report saying i went to the wrong one.

I pointed out that google map pointed to the shop i went to (turned out google map was wrong two) and argued if google map believed it was there, i was unaware that there were two and the shops don'e have the addresses on. The only way to verify the address was by asking. I pointed out that would be a slight give away.

After getting past the monkey the organ grinder agreed and paid me

Would you be able to argue that you reasonably couldn't have been aware you were at the wrong location?

Nah, it really was my fault. I'd never been to this shopping centre before, so I'd booked a few shops near to one another (checked on Google Maps before I left). So I knew they were within five minutes walk and I would only have to park once.

After doing my first shop (which was correct), I asked someone if they knew where X was and they gave me directions to one round the corner. I made the fatal assumption that there would only be one that close :(

Luckily, 4 of them are on the same road in Liverpool!

I've done that same circuit and it took me 2 loooong days to complete. Best of luck:eek:

If it's any consolation, I think quite a few of us have done the wrong shop before. I certainly have. And that was in a high street that I'm in all the time! Did the wrong bookies shop. Never realised that there was one of the same branch at each end of the street.

I always double check now. The company's store locator to start. And maybe a google to see what's in the unit next door. I've been surprised at how often there is another branch nearby and I have maybe saved myself from doing the wrong store.
  • Just had to cancel a visit for React today. I feel like death and have no voice! Just hope they aren't too annoyed with me!

Had a brainwave in bed this morning. I had put the receipt in a safe place! Visit re-allocated and submitted! Shame it's too early to celebrate with wine. Baileys in the mid-morning coffee? ;)

Streets are white here but it's wet stuff so will clear ok when it stops. Probably worse further north. Wasnt forecast for here so would think it might be bad where it was forecast

Dont have to go out, so I'm not.
