I have recently become a member of what seems like loads of mystery shopping companies and only getting jobs from one of them. Not sure what I'm doing wrong and whether checking their websites at wrong time of day (evening). Any advise appreciated or any mystery companies that come highly recommended that I may not be part of.
    thanks all

There are plenty on the first page.

As for not seeing jobs, I've found it quiet at the moment so hang in there, they'll start to show up eventually!
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Have you notified HMRC of your self employed status at all?

You'll have to complete one after April 6th this year for the period June-April 5, and it'll be due by 31st January 2012 (provided you do it online.) I'm guessing you've registered as self-employed? If so, you should hear something, but don't rely on it; they won't see it as an excuse for not filing :)

Your comments were what I thought but just wanted to double check, thanks.
  • I have used coupons in the TNS supermarket shops and never had a problem. I have only used the ones that come out with your receipt though and can't comment in gift cards.
  • OK, so, I did a pizza job for RE this evening. When making the call I specifically said "call me when you get here as the baby downstairs is asleep".

20 minutes later, the lady who lives in the flat downstairs comes up with a very wide awake baby, asking if I ordered pizza.

Turns out the numpty had knocked quietly on the window of the downstairs flat instead, she'd tried to turn him away because she hadn't ordered pizza (oddly enough) and he was standing on the doorstep arguing with her

Why didn't he just phone me?!?

Anyway, I can't complain to the pizza company so I have to wait until the mp3 is imported to write my report on the inability of drivers to follow simple instructions!!!!

    Rant over :D

I was just wondering what fees are acceptable?

It depends on the bigger picture really.

There is a big shopping centre that is a 40 minute round trip from home. If a company offered me £5 to do a job there, I wouldn't think it was worthwhile driving there just to do that job, as by the time you add up the travelling time, doing the shop and writing up the report, it would be well under minimum wage.

However, if I already had a number of jobs booked at the shopping centre with other companies, and I was offered the £5 job, I would take it. £5 is reasonable looking at just the time in the shop and writing up the report.

    Hope that makes sense!
I have a few shops to do tomorrow for TNS and does anyone know if you can use a coupon on your shop,

I've used coupons on the food shop with no problems. I do tend to spend a lot more than the reimbursement there though, as I buy my regular groceries as part of the shop.

Who was I talking to by PM about The Brand Company last year? I've deleted my PM's and can't remember who it was :o

They are supposed to pay on the last day of the month after you complete the work. I started for them in September and didn't get paid at the end of October as expected. After much nagging, the paid me Septembers work on the 1st Dec and I've had no pay since.

I've keep ringing up and just get fobbed off that it will be sorted in a couple of days, but it never does get sorted out

They now owe me money for Oct, Nov and Dec work, plus the calls I did yesterday as the stands had already been sent out to me. I'm not doing any more work for them until I get paid.
Here I go again on my own....
