I can't stand it, as soon as one thing is over they're onto the next money spinner. They'll be advertising for Halloween in February next.
Was in Sainsburys this afternoon (It's OK- I was shopping not MYSTERY shopping so can use the name) when it came over the air a wonderful half price bargain was to be had at the back of the store. Half price hot cross buns at 39p!! Astonished gasps from most of the shoppers (and not because we were all clamouring to buy bargain HXbuns)0 -

Please honey, I don't work a pittance like that. No way hosay! They used to do a 3 month ms for the same client and I did that. Even got a facial with that as it was part of the ms. If they upped the fee drastically, then I would think about it. Mind you, the staff in that chain think they have just landed from the sky, so would probably not do it even if they offered me £100.
@BECLES, wow, go girl! Are you doing all your work for the company that shall not be mentioned or someone else?0 -
ooooo are you off to Seaham Hall?
No - it's the Ocean Room Spa in the Hilton hotel next to the Tyne Bridge.mysterious_girl wrote: »EASTER EGGS!!!! Already??? Oh pleeeeeeease no!

It's mad I know but they've been in the shops since Boxing Day! That's marketing for you I guess.@BECLES, wow, go girl! Are you doing all your work for the company that shall not be mentioned or someone else?
It's a mixture of companies - that one, IMS, FSS, CPM and Abai. Here I go again on my own....0 -

I saw some chocolate chickens in Tesco just before Christmas, and they looked more for Easter than Christmas. And I saw the small Malteaser Bunnies today in Sainsburys. Far too early. My son thought it was a huge joke.
January is looking quite busy for me, but it is mainly regular jobs that I get each month and each quarter. Think its all the quarterly ones that are making January look so good.

I noticed some Lindt bunnies before Christmas in Tesco.
In my local store, the bays that had mince pies, Christmas puddings, stollen etc., on were cleared about five days before Christmas with the remaining festive items moved onto a bakery gondola end and the stock just ran down from there.
The seasonal bays were filled with generic chocolate like boxes of Roses and Fererro Rocher and the bunnies so it was sort of leaning towards Easter but not quite there.
Then after Christmas, all they reduced the facings for the generic chocs and put more Easter stuff out next to them along with the Easter shelf fins.
Looking at it from their marketing point of view, I thought that worked really well, as they didn't have much stuff left to reduce after Christmas and they worked the space well to get the Easter stuff out.
Even though it's early, it's got people talking about the shops and they do say there is no such thing as bad publicity!
Sorry if I'm blethering but I'm fascinated by the marketing and getting people to buy things aspect, which is why I like the merchandising jobs. Here I go again on my own....0 -

They can stuff their premiums up where the sun never reaches ! I'm still chasing a missing payment for a petrol job done last August so the gilt has really gone off Gaps gingerbread so far as I am concerned.ELITE 5:2

Has anybody seen any "stamp" jobs on Gap for a long time? Perhaps I have been sacked!
I asked if there were any of them around when I was last called to do an urgent burger job and they said they had "none at the moment" and I see that the company has gone from the Orientation page so that might be the end of those shops. :mad:0 -
Hello all
I love the forums on here but sometimes find it can be hard to find certain information due to all the messages being in one thread. I also wanted to put something back into the ms community after all the help I have received here. So, I have set up a new forum at
http://mysteryshopper.freeforhosting.com and hope you will all take a look. It is at the initial concept stage so far so any help or advice would be appreciated and I am in need of moderators, admins, etc.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers - Joe0 -
Hi everyone. I haven't been here for a while - crazy busy, and ill with the flu etc - so I'm sorry for coming straight back with a question.
My oldest daughter has just started MSing, as she turned 18 at the end of December. She went to do her first job yesterday, and the store had closed down. She took pics of the whited out windows, and the closure notice in the window.
I know that some companies would still pay the fee, but this job was for that company who have you do a probationary job first (not sure if I can mention them) and after filling out the form to let them know that the store has closed, there's no payment pending etc. It was a 4 mile trip, so she's not impressed!
Before she calls them to enquire, what should she expect as standard?
Also, how much work should an 18 year old be able to find?0
