  • Spectacular floor show when getting a burger!
Everyone jumped about cleaning & sweeping, being nice to kids and helping others. A big pile of ballooons were produced and quickly given out - I thought I was actually going to be given one myself, but it was just the manager coming over to check I was OK while carrying the huge bunch of balloons. Marvellous.

Thank you all! I will start reading...! :-)

Cool, not being mean telling you to read but practically everyone on this thread will have a difference experience of ms'ing. Doing your own research will mean you end up with ms'ing to suit you and your lifestyle. :)

s**t i paid it straight away as the charges went up another £40 after 7 days :o ahh well thanks guys ill know for next time :(

that's why they do it. If you try to 'prove your innocents' it will cost you more. My mothers first one I argued with them as they didn't tick a box to say why the fine had been issued. In the end they sent a ticked cosy. I pointed out it was a medical of modern stationary that the tick didn't appear on my copy and told them I will be reporting their fraudulent efforts to try and con me out of money. That was before I knew to bin them.

Annoys me that more and more of these firms are being used. There are several area's by me that have mini retail parks with 4 to 9 shops using one car park with a two hour limit. Cutting their nose off really as people will stop shopping to avoid getting a ticket.

RAnt over, just hate those companies that take peoples hard earned money for no good reason.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
  • Hello all
I have signed up RE this month and have done a few assignment for them. They were all fine until a couple issues arised recently:
    1. I have problems uploading photos which were less than the stated size.
    2. For a sandwich shop job they posted a urgent message that I needed to contact their staff which was hidden in the page just before I started writing the report. As a result I could not complete it at all and the job got released. :(
Has anyone experienced this before? Also, I only realised now reading some posts here there are not very good... and I start to feel that spending over an hour filling in report with lots of similar questions for a low fee may not worth the effort afterall!

The picture problems are a long running issue, although normally it is they are blurred when they download the report at their end (we can see it correctly but they can't) and most people usually just resubmit the same one again.

For the other problem usually when you confirm acceptance for the job there will be a message on the screen saying that you need to phone the office and speak to the allocator before completing the job. This message usually appears when there are two branches close together or if the visit is airside at an airport. After selecting it doesn't let you see the brief until the allocator has authorised it at their end.

A lot of people slate RE but I personally like them. Reasons being: when you call them the staff are human, I can plan a whole night out, from dinner to pub to club and get the whole thing reimbursed plus a fee which over an evening works out as equivalent to minimum wage BUT you're effectively getting a free night out.

Also worth bearing in mind that secret eating only pay reimbursements and have a lot of queries in your first few reports but they don't get slated half as much.

And finally I find that bare and tern cause me more problems with proofreading queries as their proofreaders use email from yahoo, wanadoo.fr, hotmail and so on which automatically routes to my spam box which makes it harder as there's not a particular email you can mark as safe.

With most of these companies there will be some you like and some you don't. Most companies will have some jobs you want to do and some jobs you don't. If everyone was the same life would be boring so just use your own judgement and do the jobs you find worthwhile and don't so the ones you don't.

This weekend I had an assignment where I'm pretty sure I caught someone shortchanging and stealing from the till. I won't get paid more for finding that, but it does give me a sense of satisfaction to know that I might have done something to help others - not the company, not the client, but the customers who are ultimately losing out.

There are some people who will disagree with me and I accept that, each to his own, but don't just base your opinions on what others think, make a decision based on your needs and wants :D

    Lecture over
  • Thank you boyoboy1986 and lalli_pickle for your quick response. I think I do enjoy a large part of the MS assignments I have done so far as it is fun and I will be happy if the detailed reports that I filled in could translate into better customer services for others. Think I may sign up a couple more companies and see if I like them better or not.

I was doing an assignment in a bottom slapping store when I saw a male brazenly walk into the menswear department, take off his old coat, put on a new one and walked out the door! I was speechless as I was talking to a member of staff at the time!
I then went to the cafe where a customer came in and started filling up a plastic bottle at the coke machine...he never paid...just walked away!!

I have gone from being extremely busy to having in the foreseeable future just a handful of small jobs, swings and roundabouts I suppose!

Did anybody receive the invoice for the kiddie's meals yet?

    Have a great Monday
