The mystery shopper service is so much more widely known and talked about now. It's great from the client's point of view as that there are a lot more shopper opinions. It's the diminishing value shown to the shoppers by the agencies which is gauling. I'm all for progress and love the advances that the internet have brought to the job, but the pittances they are offering are laughable.
But are you going to honestly tell me that you've never taken a reimbursement only or low fee job? How many times do we hear "I'd be going there anyway" or "it's a meal out" and for those people the jobs are more worthwhile than someone who wouldn't usually do something.
More and more companies are inviting feedback from regular shoppers. You see it on the bottom of receipts all the time! Go to this web page to tell us how your visit was. If the clients are cutting back on the money they spend on MSing, and the companies pass the cuts onto us then we can't really blame other shoppers accepting less for those cuts.
I might be cynical, but I don't see the situation improving. I think the days of just taking jobs to get the fee only are dying out with more emphasis on the benefits. We're seeing lots of full time/sole income shoppers turning to video shopping/audits/merchandising and other things to supplement the income.
Yes we have a few full time MSers on here, but I don't think it'll be possible for much longer.0 -

I did these a while ago and can't do them this time round. Although it was months ago I did them.0 -

I see your point of view totally, and new shoppers. I'm not meaning to sound like I am blaming people but just voicing my displeasure at how shoppers are being under valued by agencies and clients alike. I am not a full time MSer as luckily I have other employment, however I just feel that they expect a lot in return for the reimbursements/benefits that are now offered. I think it's important for new shoppers to realise that the fees and reimbursements are becoming more and more measly.0 -
To accept the clothes shops on ESA that require you to take a child, you need to have a child between 6 & 10 that you look after on a regular basis in your profile. It's no good if you have a child of your own between those age ranges, it has to be 1 you look after for some unknown reason
