Can anyone self allocate the clothes jobs on ESA, the newer ones, beginning with the letter N?

I tired to get one and it told me that I don't fit the criteria. I don't want it that badly, so I haven't rang them.

Well I can't. Although there are three in Coventry, because I'm male I'm excluded!
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

I can. Did initially pick 3, but had to ditch 2 as they require a child on the visit. Have you been with ESA for long? I think after you pass a certain number of visits they have allocated, you can self allocate.
  • Yep can self allocate other jobs, and have done so today. Also told me I did not fit criteria, although I do have a child to take, and a man(haha!) thing for the other visits. So heaven knows. Have been with them for buckets of time now.

Think if you're female you will b automatically excluded from the shops that require checking the Men's changing rooms (even if you can take a man with you)

    I've assigned 2 however.

Might be barking up the wrong tree somewhat with ESA tho....

    Fair enough :)

Really, all I want to do is earn a bit of extra cash - as it happens I quite enjoy doing the shops and don't mind the reports at all. I have a decent full-time job, so am limited to the amount of assignments I take on anyway. I weigh up what each job would cost me, in time and petrol etc, against how much I want to do it, and make my decision on that basis. I'm sorry if that upsets some of the more experienced shoppers, but the way I see it is that there's enough jobs for everyone, and I'm happy to do the ones for lower fees. Better in my pocket than someone else's!

OK ESA really are messing about with the fees now? - new clothes shops

    visit 1 or 2 Depts = Fee + reimbursement
Visit 3 Depts = Lower Fee + higher reimbursement

eh? - where is the sense in that

I did one of these in October and it was just about worth it with the fee + reimbursment. But now there are 3 for my town sitting there and its just not worth while. Especially the one that needs a child along as well!

before starting with the co that cant be named i was much less picky with jobs and accepted low paid ones. also used to do 40 mile round trips at least once every two weeks .

i am in lots of debt (see sig :o) so need to earn extra money. therefore if only low paid jobs are available i will end up doing some as even if it works out £2-3 per hour, it all adds up towards paying it off!

i would like to think that if people didnt accept low paid jobs then they would put the fees up but there will always be people desperate enough for the money/reputation/experience etc.. to do it. :(

luckily i dont need to accept too many rubbish jobs but if they are somewhere i am going/can walk to, i have nothing better to do and they dont involve me spending anything i will do some.

my tax bill is going to be pretty high this year as i now dont do anything out of the city centre except my weekly audit. i walk to most jobs and hardly print anything off! although worked out that after deducting the mileage on paper i hardly get anything for my weekly audit so not as bad as it would be if i did the closer one!

  • I tried the ones with no male fitting room, and still can't. Bob hope and no hope. There are 4 or 5 I could do, but never mind.

I have managed to allocate 2 of these. I applied for a couple more but said I did not meet the profile but I did.
