I've learned an important lesson today....when MSing 4 car dealers and pretending you want to buy a new car, DO NOT give your real mobile number. They've been ringing me all day!

The same can be said for GFK phone shops. Although the offer on the Nokia N8 keeps getting better so I'm getting more and more tempted as I'm bored of the iPhone4.0 -

You must give a useable number in case they decide to ring you with a better offer. This has happened to me before. The sensible thing to do if you plan on doing more car jobs is have a cheap and cheerful PAYG phone and use that number... Some of the car circuits (not the Bare ones though) assess the follow up received. If you didn't give a working number you couldn't comment on that section.
Also beware using false names and addresses etc. I got caught out on one recently because I'd used a different name and the same mobile number at one of their partner garages about 18 months ago :rotfl: had to think on my feet and explain a name change rather quickly!! So if you go down the PAYG route it might be worth getting a new sim card for each circuit!0 -

They've not called me yet0 -
Interesting as I meant to ask about this - I did a couple of bank jobs and one woman in particular was dead keen to get my business, I gave her my number and was considering putting my business acct through them (took them long enough to do my personal so I wont be) but she said she'd give me a call end of Jan to discuss - she never did.
Do you think she knew I was a mystery shopper?
As for Helion - very very impressed with their web setup, as impressed as I've been with a platform.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -
I've just got the go ahead for a potential project in Bristol. You'd be working with me for a single client. Please PM me if you're in the area and interested! It's a nice one, but the finer details are yet to be worked out.
Is this something you've got on your own lil_me?(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -
