No RE has always had pizza jobs and supermarket jobs they are different from GAP and TNS

Ah! I knew they had the one client but didn't realise they did Gaps client as well. Think I'll stick with the Gap version, higher reimbursement and no need to record the phone call ;)

Any video shoppers on here, who would be happy to have a quick chat via PM, can you drop me a line, please? :)

I've just had to release a brothers restaurant on RE in Essex for Saturday if it's any good to anyone? Not worthy of an ALERT!
  • Should I keep my mystery shopping a secret from my friends/family? I sometimes mention it AFTER I have done the shop as I dont want to jeoparise my chances while I am mystery shopping.

Well you definitely shouldn't do it while mystery shopping as you are meant to remain a secret!

I don't mention it to friends as too many think they will try it too, and as you can probably see its very competitive. This month there has been few jobs which I put down to all the new people giving it a go.

My husband does know, but he doesn't know all the details or fees involved. But we chat about our days so things come up in general terms (usually if something funny happened).

Ah, sorry, I should have been clearer, I meant the jewellery audits, the ones that are usually within the store iykwim? They used to involve making a purchase, going back for a refund, then doing the audit, but that seems to have changed.

They are doing 2 different jewellers. 1 has the £500 purchase which includes a phone call. The 1 you are talking about is different. It is either just a simple audit (which I am used to) or like this time, it was a purchase, refund and then audit. Just read the paperwork and contact Miss Sarah if you are unsure. HTH.
  • You're right Jen but it looks like they're trying to steal the shed client :(

Can't see any supermarket jobs on there but that could just be their nuts website where you pick a bookies up and seven hundred pubs disappear :rotfl:

How's CA hun? Hope the weathers better than over here! Will drop you a PM

Interesting, 'cause I got sacked from Gap pizza last night. Probably because it was the only one I did for them, apart from mobile phones (but I'm ruled out of them for a while.) Might also be because the last three times they've tried to tempt me with a burger 3 miles away for £2 more I've told them where they can go.. :p

Probably won't do any more for them now - don't like anything but the pizza, and it'll unclog my phone a lot!
  • TNS and Grass Roots are both now owned by WPP so, in effect, are the same company!

I keep it quiet now after having a friend wander up to me in a shop and loudly say 'Hi, nice to see you - ooh, you're not doing a mystery shop now are you?'. Thankfully I wasn't, but the staff all turned around with this expression -

Also, I've had people wanting me to help them set up as a mystery shopper - mostly local, so would be taking my jobs ... One relative in particular keeps repeatedly asking me to 'help' her sign up with all the companies - oh and she's not very confident online, so can I just do it for her, oh and help her book jobs, and talk her through everything she needs to know, oh and maybe accompany her for a few .... I politely told her to b****r off :D
