True - I am on over 1000 now and I see no difference in getting assignments now to when i started.
Apparently the number of points you have doesn't mean anything, but your average does. Some clients specify that shoppers have an average of 8 (for example) before you will be able to accept their jobs. I've been told this by more than 1 person at RE.0 -
Have booked my first hotel visit with the secret eating company!0

Hmmm. I don't believe it. A few of them have said the points mean nothing at all and I have asked quite a few of them.
Does anyone have a contact email for GFK? I can't find one at all.
And finally, why are all the newbies mentioning the company that does restaurants and hotels? I thought there were 2 companies we were not allowed to mention on here, them being the one that cannot be named and the above one!!!0 -

Is that me? Sorry - I'd read it on here before so I didn't realise they were one of the ones that couldn't be named.....:embarasse0 -
Just a quick query about reimbursements – I know it may vary from agency to agency but I only have experience with one agency.
Say, for example, the reimbursement for a job is stated as £3 and the receipt you produce shows that you have spent £2.50 – would you claim for the full £3 allowance to cover, say, travel etc?
I only ask as I did this with a recent job. I claimed for the full reimbursment limit of £3 when my receipt showed I had spent £2.50 - I received the full £3 back. Yet in another job for the same company but at a different location, I claimed for the full £3 limit but was only paid the £2.50 shown on the receipt.
Maybe it's one of those things that "just depends" but just wondering if I am wrong to be doing this.
Quite new to this so just hoping for some advice – don’t want to be pushing my luck!
Thanks0 -

RE usually only reimburse what you actually spend (up to the limit of agreed reimbursemnt, of course).

Travel expenses, cost of parking etc. are claimed separately where you can claim them (the brief/job notes or the pay details bit will tell you this if you can claim). The £3 would have been for just the purchase, if you got the full amout when the receipt said otherwise then either the company pays the maximum amount regardless for that client (check the briefing notes) or they didn't notice the error.
If it doesn't say anything in the briefing notes about being able to claim for what you haven't spent/getting the full reimbursement whatever you spend I wouldn't do it, as if they spot you doing it regularly you may be less likely to get work.0 -
Well I have to thank ESA for phoning me and getting me up out of my bed in what is my only day off this week!
'Can you do an urgent pharmacy visit for us?'
'Where?'
'Mentions xxx town 39 miles away'
'Thats a 78 mile round trip, is there any additional fee or mileage as I wasn't planning going anywhere near there today?'
'Mentions a fee that is £2 more than the previously advertised amount'
'Can I go back to bed now please'
2 minutes past 9am and they come away with that!0 -

Not at all hun. There are quite a few people. I know when I joined up it was mentioned that it was one of the 2 that could not be named at all. Maybe it has changed, I don't know?0
