i think people are reading the old rule book here--that has been torn up and a new world order has been put in place--the Americans and Europe who have been sucking in cheap imports and creating credit mountains now have to go cap in hands to Asian to survive--the chinese will do exactly what they see is profitable for their economy--the only asset we have to save us is innovation and with cameron at the helm he is stamping on the life blood by killing the universities with cut backs.-the chinese dont need cheap tat they need technologically advanced products and we will have no brains to create them--i never went to uni but know its our only hope to get out of this mess.mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

People have short memories and have now already largely forgotten the magician's smoke machines & mirrors that have manipulated everyone for the past couple of years. This support equipment will undoubtedly be dragged back onto the world stage next year, to continue to give, yet again, a fanciful illusion.
The next crash will undoubtedly come, but when is anyone's choice. Maybe when the markets actually see through the illusion and that many world government's can't actually pay the piper any more. There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -

Many people will have much better things to do than waste time repeating things on this forum.
Indeed. The just endlessly repeat the same handful of circular banal arguments the other 50 weeks of the year.
Well done you. :cool:0 -

Yes or in Hamish case 52 weeks of the year.
Why do some continue to repeat the same old rubbish when they are so clearly wrong.
Gold and silver were supposed to crash years ago 100% guaranteed according to Hamish when in fact silver has gone up 70% since August alone.
Come on Hamish give it rest already, everyone knows you are wrong. Admit it and lets move on.0 -
We actually only owe about the same (in real terms) as we did after the last world war.
We commenced a massive reinvestment and rebuilding programme, which created virtually full employment, and the good times came back.
So called austerity measures rarely work - and as we owe more now than we did at the last election, it's hard to see how it will help next year, with more and more people losing their jobs.
I also find it difficult to see how making £6 billion pounds worth of cuts, causing hardship to many, and then lending £7 billion to Ireland will actually help this process of recovery.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
