Help buyer not returning item after refund!

I sold a sat nav cd on eBay at the beginning of October. As it had been a week since I had sent the CD I decided to leave the buyer feedback. Bad mistake.
The next day I get an e-mail saying that the CD didn't work and he wanted a refund. I said no as the CD could be copied and it was the right one for his car... Next thing I know I get an e-mail from Paypal saying he was filing a complaint and the money was frozen.
I panicked and refunded him straight away as his e-mail said he was going to neg me if I didn't. Now, despite numerous e-mails, he hasn't returned the disc and I've even offered to refund his postage back to me!
Any advice as to the next step for me to take?

Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!

Sorry but i think you are out of options.
you did all the things which everyone here would have told you not to do.0 -
Take some 'gentlemen' friends to his house.
Seems you've been hadThis country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0 -
Pull his details and give him a ring, this may scare him into sending it back! A lot of people take things like this as they don't have to confront the actual person!! its just a computer ebay name to them!!

Never, never refund without receiving goods back! And CD's are a bigger problem in that they can be copied in 5 minutes, personally they are things I would think twice before selling.
One other thing the ones that threaten neg feedback are the ones you have to be particularly wary of, they are the real trouble makers.0 -
I know that the matter has already been sort of dealt with by Paypal but couldn't you start a NPB against him? Effectively he hasn't paid for goods which he still has in his possession. Got to be worth a try surely, even if only to annoy the h**l out of him

There is a slim chance that if you start an NPB process against him he wont respond to it and then if he Negs you it will be removed by eBay automatically because he hasnt took part in the dispute. If he does respond then at least it will result in a non paying bidder strike at the end of it....some consolation, not much though.0 -
grandslamgirl that sounsds worth a shot.0

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Yes, I know I did the wrong thing in refunding him, but the way Paypal worded things it pointed to refunding being the only option. He also mentioned he was going to send it back so I was hoping that it would turn up in the post the next day... lol!
Anyway, will do the request details thing and the NPB action and see if that sparks him into life...
Just found out that 'request member details' only works with a current transaction and not a completed one! When I try and get his details it just keeps prompting me for my login details! Oh well... I've started NPB proceedings so will see where that leads...Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -

You should still be able to get his details as the listing only closed this month. Its asking you to log in to re-verify who you are as you are asking for sensitive data.0 -

I filed an NPB against him and he responded saying that he'd paid for the CD!!! Cheeky !!!!!!!!
Will give Paypal a call now to see what they can do.Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0
