Ebay Buyer query

I have decided to join the 21st Century and I have bid for something on ebay. In hindsight I put a bid in that was too high and no one else has bothered so I think I will win the item, the question is:

"Once the auction has finished if I have won what do I do"?
I don't want to ask the seller in case they think I am a complete thicko

Log into 'my ebay' and it will talk you through paying. You can post a cheque to them.

i won the auction and I have sent a cheque off to her today. It was quite straight forward, but can I ask is paypal safe?

I am really not into setting up pp with my current a/c details which my wages/ctc/cb go into, in the wrong hands I would end up penniless.

I can't answer about paypal, never used it. I have always sent payment either cheque or postal order.
If everyone cared and nobody cried, if everyone loved and nobody lied, if everyone shared and swallowed their pride then we'd see the day when nobody died.

You can get better advice on the eBay board, theres a section just on top of this.

PP is only safe if you know what you are doing. Just go onto that board for more help.

  • I always use pay pal if it is an option as it is supposed to give you some protection against people not having the money to pay ! It is all very secure and I have never had any problems
