New tv-head wrecked with all the searching im doing!!

Hi guys,

I hope you can help me. My head is wrecked with searching and reading forums and reviews ect. i think i have overloaded my brain with to much information. Having been looking for around 3 wks i now admit defeat. I would have posted on av forums but it seems like not many people get a response there. Anyhow, Heres my question....

Im looking to buy a tv-37in-42in.
Will be used to watch tv and sometimes my son's PS3.
My budget is very, very tight. between £300-£400. The less the better really.

Heres what i've shortlisted so far

Any suggestions or advice would be truly appreciated at this moment in time, xx

Hi, of the tv's you link to, I would probably steer towards the Samsung. I have had the LE40C530 and the LE46C580 and have been impressed with both. I have also have one of the cheaper LG's and thought the picture quality inferior to the Samsungs. I have also had a Toshiba lcd in the past and the picture was quite good but reviews on the one you mention aren't so favourable. If you can still get the Samsung at £369 grab it !!

I would buy the AOL from eBuyer, great reviews, long warranty, either 2 years as stated or possibly 3 years according to those that have purchased it.

    Terrific value. ;)

I've never heard of AOC as a TV manufacturer (or anything else, for that matter).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I was going to buy the AOC just for the price but it seems to use a lot of power- 200w. Is that really high?
I need to order the tv tonight and im still none the wiser!! :(

AOC have been making computer monitors for years. Anyway none of those but this:

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/plasma-tv/panasonic/viera-txp37x20/pana-txp37x20

£384.94 including 5 year warrerny if you have an old TV to trade in other wise it's £20 extra.

I have two Panasonic 37"plasmas, different models to this and am very pleased with them both.

    It's also on Amazon.

Posted RS as it was a better deal with the warranty.
