  • Yawn!

I may have overslept last night. I was busy starting the throw for my mothers Christmas pressent. I may have bitten off more than I can chew but I'm sure I'll get there. The type of pattern I'm using is a bit complicated but once you get going it becomes a lot easier. I'll get get a little more done tonight while I watch Dr Who.

My ebay sales for this weekend are now up to £15 with three items selling. I'm hoping the tent goes up a bit tomorrow but if it doesn't that's ok. Every pennie counts and it's not as if I paid for it to begin with. I'm going to try to get another 20 items on tomorrow.

So, this weekends to do list...

    Today
-Go into town and buy supplies for making blinds
    -Make and hang new blinds
    -Clean smelly rat
    -Do some food shopping.
    -Work on mums throw

    Tomorrow
-Paint out feature wall in the living room
-Take pawly friend to feed the ducks
    -Put stuff on ebay
    -Work on mums blanket

    Monday
    -Re-seal all windows
    -Make dinner for mum
-Get petrol for work next week
    -Work on mums blanket

Right, well I had better stop talking about it and get on and do it then hadn't I!

    I can't believe it's Monday already!

I haven't managed to do everything I set out to. I couldn't find any £2>£3 throws so I've decided to wait until premark get their winter stock in before making the blinds and I haven't got around to doing the painting because I spent all of yesterday around a friends house playing Wii... Not what I had planned but much more fun!!! I also didn't manage to put anything on eBay yesterday which was a shame but last weeks items finished for just under £60 :) and I will make a special effort to put lots of bits on eBay next week.
I've also made a good start of the blanket for my mother, I've got about 2 inches finished so a long way left to go but I'm certain that it will be finished in time.

I'm working in Cheltenham next all next week which has created a unexpected problem. I hadn't figured out how I would post my eBay sales while working away. I also don't think I'll get a chance to do much of anything as travel is going to add on 2 hours to my working day. On the bright side I get good mileage from my car so I should make a couple of £ on my petrol allowance.
  • This week was the most exhausting week I've ever experienced but on the bright side it's over now and I've had a awsome Fridy night and Saturday.

I've now worked out my end of month stats and I'm really close to my £4k target with only £195.20 to go :) I will definately pay that off next month then it will be onward and upward to pay off as much of my debt as possible before the end of the year. For this month I am as yet unsure how well I will do. I should have some extra money comming in from my expenses but I had a hen do this weekend which cost me about £30, I've got a wedding latter in the month for which I'm going to have to buy a gift, get some shoes and stay in a hotel, I've got my birthday for which I'm going out for a meal.

Tomorrow will be eBay day again. I'm really impressed by how much I've earned ebaying junk but I do get a little irritated by people missreading listings and then complaining that I've not desribed the item correctly. A couple of weeks ago I had the woman who complained that a listing advertising a special features DVD and box without the movie didn't include the movie :-s This week I've had a guy buting a camping lantern which was clearly advertised as being seld without a power adapter and then complainging that it didn't have a car charger??? I didn't even mention a car charger in the listing so why he would imagine one was included I can't imagine. It's just so frustraiting when buyers bid without reading the description properly and then complain to the seller and what's worse is that if they decide to take the complaint to eBay 9 out of 10 times they will win the dispute even if it's not the sellers fault.
Oh well, I guess if there was no stress involved everyone would sell on eBay all the time.
  • Humm.. The guy who contacted me about the camping lantern must have decided it was his fault for not reading the add because he left me positive feedback but he seemed to want the last word as he left positive feedback complaining that there was no car charger *Sigh* I spent the evening putting another 20 items on eBay so I'll just sit back and hope that I don't have any trouble next week. I don't have any big ticket items to put on this week so I'm not anticipating much income but every pennie counts!

I finished a new picture this week, I decided to try putting it on Deviant Art as a buyable print to see how that goes. I've also had a query about doing a portrait. If that comes in it should be £30 to £40 for the pot and I've signed up to PPH so I may get some work though that. Again it will be small amounts, £30 to £40 per job and really that is very cheap for a artist but it's better than nothing and a lot more that I would get selling cards.

Right, I'm off to do my daily scratches before bed. I'm definately wishing that tomorrow wasn't monday!
  • Oh dear, I forgot that I need to get my MOT this month :( What with that, my bithday and the wedding I think my overpayments may be a little pathetic at the end of the month *Poo*
  • I love speadsheets. I was updating my i&e today and I realised that in January this year I was paying £280 per month in interest  as of today I'm paying £90 per month!!! That's nearly £200 permonth I'm saving :j:D
  • Woohoo! My car past its MOT :)

Unfortunately I do have to get some work done which will cost £150 so no extra payment on my loan this month :(
  • Yay! another £20 from ebay... Not all my items sold and they were small items so no major money spinners this week but every pennie counts. Unfortunately I was going to drop in to a friends for a cup of tea that turned into dinner and chatting until 10pm so I didn't get to eBay anything this week (Oops!) I'll have to prepare to eBay my little socks off next week!
  • I forgot to mention I bid on a freelance job today. If my bid is chosen I'll earn £100 for a couple of hours work preparing images to be used in a catalogue with the possibility of further work if I do a good job. Fingers crossed.
  • D'oh! I've spent all week worrying that I don't have enough money to last the month then yesterday realised that I'd already made one of the larger payments I'd been counting. All that worry for nothing!

So I didn't get the freelanc job I put a bid in and have now decided to illustrate some more Christmas cards. Normally I do ratty ones but my friends new rescue greyhound has inspired me to base some cards on her. I've also desided to splashout on some new art software for my birthday. I'm going to buy a outdated but adiquate copy to begin with so that I can decided if it's going to add value to my work as a up to date copy will set me back around £600 (ouch!) The software should mean that I can put in bids for lots more freelance jobs though and make a bit of money.

I didn't do any eBaying this weekend as it was a free listing weekend and I'm starting to suspect that prices are always lower after free listing weekends and I doubt that I'll get any listing done next week but I've still got a big ebay pile which I'll get back to selling the weekend after.

It really feels as if this month has been jam packed with social stuff. The run up to the party season has definately started. Only a couple more months untill the Christmas trees go up!

It's my birthday this week (yes, it's a scary one :( ) I've asked everyone to give me money or Amazon vouchers. The money will go on a) Getting a new cam belt on the car b) Paying off my loan early and the Amazon vouchers will be used to buy the software that I want. I'm not sure what I'll do with anything left over, possibly put it towared buying Christmas pressents. This is all terribly sensible of me. Usually I ask for DVDs and things like that and buy myself a pressent like the iPod I got a couple of years ago and the BlueRay player I got last year but not this year. This year I will be sensible and keep on track!
