Maybe if you kept your text the normal size you wouldn't need Glasses to read it. That's my Money saving Tip. :D

    Cheeky!!
This ruddy ten year old PC has a mind of its own sometimes. If it stops in the middle of a message, it’s not my fault if it starts again with different sized text. I’m thinking of doing a ‘John Cleese’ and give it a good thrashing, That’ll teach it.

  • My sky box does not go below channel 244 or above channel 455. Is this BBC some new channel?

Ooops, I am ripped off every April to the tune of £150 odd for something I do not watch

BBC 1 Every morning. If you're out to work at that time you'd better get your sky box to record it.

  • Ok I'm going to stand out like a sore thumb here, but I own an opticians business. It is a small family run practice, and I can assure everyone on this forum that the cost price of a set of standard lenses does NOT cost me 25p. As someone earlier mentioned, a cup of coffee from Starbucks probably costs about 15p but there are millions of people throughout the world will pay £2+ on a daily basis. At least with spectacles you only buy these every couple of years!

The 25 pence cost mentioned was the cost of manufacture, NOT the price paid by opticians. The point of the argument is that various people in the business of supplying specs are milking it big time.

    Hi Folks

Likewise, 'buy-one-get-one-free', who out there actually believes this quote?
    Nospecs.........

Even Opticians have now joined in the Buy-one-get-one-free selling. We constantly see some of them advertising ‘free’ prescription sunglasses if you buy your specs from them. So don’t tell me there’s no profit being made.

    P. S. Aren’t you lucky ‘Nospecs’.

  • What about sticking jamjars filled with water over your eyes. Ensure the suction is tight and BINGO!

    Used jam jars = Free
    Water = Free

    Priceless!

Im talking about the programme itself and how its very biased and doesnt actually cover the full facts and just screams rip-off without covering both sides of the story.Mainly the people they are attacking

That is not true. Ample opportunity has been given many times for the so called Rip-off merchants to appear on the programme. Some of them have even made a very good case to justify their misdeeds. SHAME! SHAME!
I do agree with you that sometimes the arguments are left in limbo, with no obvious solution, which only serves to leave the viewer hopping mad.

  • So tell me what you do or what your skills are? How much do you charge and is it justified? I bet you feel you are underpaid!
