Stock /shares ISA transfer

I want to transfer a large chunk poor performing stock ISA to some of my other newer stock ISAs .My problem is this would mean transferring in about 1K each into the newer stock ISAs -is this too much to transfer - given pound cost averaging ? Or should i pay in 1k over 12 months or some other gradual way?
I assume that monthly transfers in the form of standing /order DDebit cannot operate from my poor performing stock ISA?
