Upgrades 3

Basically Ive been with three for a long time now - on my second 18month contract - I upgraded last year with 3 months remaining on the contract - I stupidly assumed the new contract would start from then but it didn't it - the new one didn't start for another 3 months - as a result Ive still basically got another 6 months to run on this contract - three have said I cant upgrade until 25th June but that's my contract end date so am I now unable to upgrade 3 months prior?
Im desperate for a new phone, my last upgrade they sent me died (touchscreen smashed on it) so for a long time Ive been using my previous phone which lets face it has seen better days....

I'm due another upgrade from O2, I've been with them since June 2006 and haven't felt any love from them for quite a while. Last good deed they did was to send me free speakers with my Sony Ericsson - in 2008!

I've set out some criteria this time around and if they can't oblige I'll be taking my custom elsewhere. I'm looking a free android phone with a decent operating system and a free 02 to O2 calls Bolt-On for £30 per month range. I've already seen this deal elsewhere, and some places even offer a free gift with the deal..!

Unfortunately, as you have 6 months to run, you're in no position to negotiate any kind of deal.

You could either pay off the remainder of your contract (6 x monthly tariff) or buy a cheap PAYG phone to tide you over until June.

you can still upgrade 110 days early with 3 or pay an early fee fee to upgrade? i asked at around 150 days days b4 the end of contract and the fee was around about £85.

The other alternative is to look at how much your desired shiny thing would cost pay as you go, or sim free, and buy it outright, as 3 seem to offer some wicked sim only upgrade rates, ie lots of minutes/texts/interwobbles for not much money, plus you're free to leave sooner if you want. And its not gonna work out more over the course of a contract, assuming you get the right deal.
