  • Yes, finding good suppliers for popular cheap goods in a relevant market is like finding gold dust in some "Slightly worn" knickers purchased form eBay.

If you’re planning in drop shipping on eBay i would be very careful, its much better to control your own stock.

Simply Goggling "Drop shipper UK" or "Cheap Wholesale" wont work, the results crammed full of junk, you need to be slightly more creative when looking for business partners.

I don’t think anyone will identify and true gems, why would they want the competition?

One tip – Stay away from “The Select” most people looking to drop ship get roped into The Select – complete waste of money.

probably not gonna get anyone to hand you a good supplier on a plate, mainly because the only good suppliers anyone will know will be their own and they are not going to help you set up in competition with them are they.

i could point you in the general direction......in fact i will.....China.

trouble is, i find most people are not willing to take the gamble on that first order so its pointless telling people where to find suppliers.

best advice is decide what you want to sell then see if you can source it from china, that will likely be your cheapest place to buy, all my stock comes from china, even the stuff i don't import myself but buy from uk wholesalers origionates from china, in fact this computer i'm using was made in china, as was the wireless keyboard and mouse i'm using as was my samsung TV..my kettle, my toaster, my iphone my ipod my .....well you get the picture, most things these days are made in china so if your looking for stock to sell try.............you guessed it, china.

there are some good wholesale directories if you look in the right places....

    Yes, plenty.

Took me a fair bit of hard work and time though, I suggest you do the same.

I suggest you shut your mouth. The whole point of these forums is to help each other out based on our own experiences. OP asked a legitimate question, shame you chose to be a jerk.
I'm all in favour of helping people out but the question is a little vague and a little naive.

    So to help,

Wholesalers or dropshippers of what? There are millions of wholesalers worldwide across all areas, narrow your field down and someone may help.
What investment would be initially made? Again there may be a passing wholesaler reading who may want the business, let them know what it is.
How and where would you be selling? Is there a shop, market stall, website or would it just be through Ebay or elsewhere.

As Steve implied it takes a lot of work to get suppliers to even supply you. I could probably give names of half a dozen companies now who only deal with known entities, so giving their names would be pointless.

You might also find reasonable wholesalers in the USA.

Don't try to buy known brands from China.

Even if you dropship, a wise man will hold a little stock to be able to cover for suppliers that are suddenly out of stock.

Amusing that you have added nothing other than sarcasm and agression to the thread - even though thats what you are accusing others of?

Presumably if you read the thread you must have info on drop shipping you can share with us?

Please, tell all, for the benefit of the greater MSE collective.
  • Ha, I like the idea of this thread, trying to get the info on a whim. I'm only surprised nobody has pointed the OP to their "dodgy" sources rather than turning it into a slanging match.....

I'm currently in the process of doing much research regarding wholesalers (not so much dropshippers as I'm only planning to start trading on Ebay and not sure I trust them, perhaps others could advise?) and have a few meetings set up with various UK based for the New Year as I'm not sure I'd want my first tranche of cash to be sent online without having seen the place I'm supposed to be receiving goods from.

I only wish I'd have thought of asking here before I started, could have saved hours........... :rotfl:

Thanks for all your input, I will not be doing dropping.

I am looking for wholesalers in China to sell item on ebay but what I have found is that most things are fake from, I have been looking for ages but can't seem to see anything from the search engines
