LPG tank and central heating

I live in an all electric house with no central heating, we use electric fires and portable calor gas heaters.

I have done all the insulation and draught proofing possible and now I am looking for better and more economical heating.

I was thinking of putting in central heating radiators heated by a LPG powered boiler but there is not really room outside for a gas tank.

Is it economical and feasable to use 47 kg tanks of LPG or should I just upgrade my electrical fires?

I have just retired and with staying at home all day now it is costing a fortune in electricity so I am looking for alternatives.

The only disadvantage of retirement I have found, at least until my wife retires and we are both at home all day.

You can use 4 x 47kg cylinders to run your boiler, but you will probably pay a bit more for your gas compared to a bulk cylinder.

You may be able to get a fuel switch grant from your heating installer.
