Mmmm you need to spill the beans on why you want this really. I'm naturally suspicious of this sort of request 'cos it looks like you want it to use as a negotiating tool with a third party. ;)

Get some quotes from local companies and scan them. Also try using punctuation.

Ahhh so my crystal ball is kinda working today then. :D

I'm sorry but I do not believe for one minute that your local companies can't deliver you a quotation within the next 10 days. Why should the company who did the damage be allowed to control when you submit your quotes? If you delivered them on 23rd December that would still be before Xmas but what are they going to do with it betwen then and 2nd January? Absolutely nothing thats what. Don't be bullied by them.

also how can i scam someone with a quote. mmmm

£7.99 sqr mtr is what i paid when i got it earlier in year.

alot of vinyl flooring is much higher than this, thats why i say roughly around that figure.

headed paper is only for sky to see its a genuine quote

Oh I see you didn't say that you wanted the work completed by Xmas you said you had to get the quotes in by Xmas. Thats different. If SKY are picking up the tab why are you worried about the VAT increase?

Phil said SCAN as in use a scanner to covert your quotes to a digital image in order to be able to email them. SCAM is a different word entirely.

    SCAN not SCAM.

Fine so get your quotes in and send them off. If the quotes say £x plus VAT at the prevailing rate when invoicing SKY aren't going to be bothered - they will be claiming all the VAT back anyway as they'll treat this as a "cost to the business" so whan its actually done is completely irrelevant to them.

  • lol my apologies.

because if i send in quotes now, they will pay out an amount but it may not cover the floor with vat increase.

i have 2 quotes now. i went into the stores to get those, carpets for less had a fitter in area so they called him to measure it up.

they both quote over £500 and i cant see sky covering that.

my original cost was around £400 but i didnt have to pay for adhesive or fitting as my cousin did this for me, as i had all my house done top to bottom with carpet etc.
