Lamewolf and Mr Lamewolf, I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news, at least Mr LW managed to spend some time with his sister before she passed....despite the efforts of elder sister eh? xx

Sounds like she waited for him, people do you know, hang on if they can until they've seen the ones they love.

Hugs to Mr/s Lamewolf for their sad loss.

I have been feeding WM and TD and folding clothes.

Did a brief walk down to Mr T for a few things I needed (and a few I didnt :p) £25 for 1 carrier bag and there wasnt any one thing that was expensive .

Had a bit of a heart to heart with DD as her attitude still seems to be all over the place and despite previously being given incentives she still cant be ar5ed to tidy her room. At least she's in there now.

Dinner is in the oven so just grabbing a cuppa and then I really need to think about when I am going to start wrapping presents and writing cards for work colleagues (some of which were the ones who came round in Friday night :o).
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

What a fabulous gift :T:T Giving your time to someone is the nicest thing you can do for them. Most of us don't spend enough time with the people who mean most to us. It's a really thoughtful and original gift.

More logs brought in. Last bag of coal left over from last year brought in to shed to defrost (I always forget that it gets damp from condensation) and coal bucket filled and in utility room to thaw out a bit! Bits and pieces brought in from outside freezers, so I start eating them (mind you, I suspect when my mother goes I may stop eating again, as its been a bit of a struggle recently - even before OH's tantrum on Friday. It's made me realise that I haven't been happy a lot of the time, but couldn't work out how to fix it - I needed OH to be happy so that I could be.

Two batches of ganache made to use up some of the vast quantities of cream I bought for the chocolate making originally planned for this weekend. I've made the long-life version that lasts for 3 months, so I'll make some chocolates and keep some for cakes. I have masses of eggs to use up too, so might make some cakes. I'd planned a carrot cake, but have realised I've run out of veggies, so need to do a shop tomorrow if it thaws a bit. If it doesn't, I'll try to persuade my DB to pick up some coal on his way here to collect my mother (he's got the day off, so is going to collect her, she can spend the morning with my nephew and then he can put her on the train as its 2 minutes from his house and is on the same line as where I picked her up). Hopefully the trains will be OK tomorrow and she'll get back to Norfolk in time to pack and come back down with my dad on Thursday! I'm looking forward to having the dog to stay for a few days over christmas :)

Suppose I should do some wrapping really...

Lamewolf & Mr Lamewolf you both in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time, i'm so glad Mr Lamewolf was able to visit.

I've managed nothing since my last post, hubby now home and nearly sleeping on the sofa. We've decided not to take the kids to school tomorrow because the lane's too bad and dd would be no good at a church service with the cough she has. They would only be there until 11.30 anyway so for the sake of the car and my sanity (i hate driving in the snow) we'll be staying at home. :D

Need to shift my bum and get something done.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Evening all,

Big hugs to LW and MrLW on your loss. Hopefully this will mean that his sister enjoys a pain-free Christmas now and will be with you both in spirit.

Well after a mad dash to MrT to do the food shop and get more wrapping paper (we were running out of pieces that were big enough), I've just wrapped another load of presents. Just got the calendar to wrap for my Mum now, the robin trays for my Nana, and a box of whiskas treats for BIL's cat (Moon will never be able to wrap a cat-shaped box lol - think I'll struggle tbh).

My Dad has just called to say that he's got a really bad throat and can we cancel dinner tomorrow, but I'll still have to go over so that I can drop off my Nana's birthday present for them to take with them on Tuesday. Fingers crossed that the road are less icy - I've not seen a forecast, so don't know what is predicted. Main roads are fine, it's just getting to them, as our road is really long, twisty, and people park on both sides leaving rediculously small gaps to squeeze through. I want to take the Christmas presents over to put under the tree too, that way it'll clear our living room floor, and also means we won't be in such a hurry on Christmas Day when we go over.

Well I'd better crack on with this wrapping - I'm determined to get it all done tonight.

Hugs to anyone else who needs one, and thanks to Jenny and Mudbath.
