Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Each room has had a S&S today. Christmas cards and paper etc tidied up. HHI done and put away. Shepherds pie cooking in the oven. There was no snow when I got up this morning we now have about 6 inches and a blizzard. There has been a lot of accidents up here. Please stay safe everyone.
Pleased I went and got DDS firelighters and sticks before it started. I bought myself some snow boots last week. Looks like I will need them.
Happy Birthday Dippypud.
Happy Birthday AnWsMum.
Mumof2s DS Happy Birthday.
Hugs and spoons for those that need them specially Toots. Lady L Diva and LW.0 -
I lost the rest of my post yesterday, when we inexplicably lost connection - I'm blaming the PS3 (she says, casting dark looks at DS1 and 2).
:bdaycake:Happy birthday to dippypud, and AnW's mum, and crafty for yesterday
I was up fairly early, so cleaned the kitchen before anyone else thought about breakfast. I thought I'd either catch up from last week, or get ahead on this week! I've done the cloakroom as well, so a quick vacuum will finish the ground floor.
OH has tried to put together DD's new wardrobe - first upstairs, where there is very little room, then downstairs - and we couldn't then get it upstairs, so he's now up there again, banging and crashing and throwing things around. That's why I'd much raher pay someone else to do it. Sigh.
I really want it done today, as then DD and I will be able to put away all her things which are in the living room and main bedroom, and then clean before the tree goes up.
DD and BF are in London - he bought her tickets to see Jimmy Carr. They got there all right, but there's some worry over whether there will be a train back. The man in Victoria said it will be okay until about 9pm, but no guarantees after that - I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed. I've offered to drive and pick them up if there's anything coming back to Kent. We don't have any mnore snow forecast, but the temperature is supposed to plummet. I'm really anxious about them.
Mrs Chaos - pm me if you want to rant, anytime.
Love and hugs to toots, lady-liberty and lamewolf and her DH.
sexymouse - sounds like you've had a rough week - hugs.

:bdaycake:Happy birthday to dippypud, and AnW's mum, and also to crafty for yesterday
Afternoon all. Still very cold but no more snow today. Nothing's melted either though. Some washing draped round, roast dinner cooked and eaten and cleared away. That's about it, apart from keeping the birdbath free which is a full time job.0 -
Not much done here today. I woke up feeling really ill so went back to bed. DH went over to DMs on his own, so she has Christmas presents and food.
I'm just going to do some dot to dotting, and will stick my head in the freezer for a pizza for dinner. Haven't got the energy to stand up and cook!
Stay warm everyone

I'm off for a HHC in which I hope to make my bed & finish off the washing up. I might even vacuum through and upset DD since she's watching Transformers

Just done the last bit of shopping - duvet and pj's for christmas eve for DD (they go up to bed and have new duvets and pj's every year). Really pleased with pressie for best friend....a months worth of dance lessons of her choice and I'll go with her!
Hugs to all. Off to tidy/wrap/clean etc.
