It's so dark here, it's like dusk! But, I think there's yet another egg about to be laid. 3 chicks outside the coop watching and listening to one inside prepping the nesting area! Had another home grown poached egg on toast for breakfast - again delish...

Have started the deep clean of the kitchen - boy it needs it! It's a systematic empty of cupboards and clean all inside and out. Will take ages as there are about a dozen of them  but I'm determined to get it done in time for Christmas

Make mine a cup of tea please:D

    As stated earlier unloaded/reloaded DW
    bleached kitchen sink
    Cleaned downstairs loo
Washed tiled floors in upstairs bathroom and en-suite
folded load from TD and put away
tried on Boden bits - one going back
    emptied Dyson.
    opened post.

Shocked to get a card from my beloved old vicar. His TV caught fire and the vicarage is smoke damaged throughout. So pleased he is not hurt (he's 87).

Carrying on cleaning, I have the girls coming round for a festive lunch and I must wash the 2500 sq.ft. floor that is the kitchen/dining/utility/hall.:(

Thanks my dear, I'll be in touch when I find out for certain after my apppt on Friday. So far there are 2 with very long names that seem to be contained in shower gels, shampoo, moisturisers and some soap. On the plus side I've found some things stashed away that don't contain them, but not many
Well let me know as soon as you have the details - there are lots of brands out there for people who are chemical free if you need them. And once you know where to find them it gets easy. Don't forget about makeup and toothpaste too... and cleaning products (OS solutions generally help avoid these issues). I find it saves me quite a lot of money as I can't indulge in little treats that easily, although there are now quite a lot of options which is making it easier not to be economical!

CBA to work... going back to bed with a hot water bottle for a bit... must remember to wake up for my 2pm meeting...

Anyway, and interesting morning to say the least. Just been down to church to rip up the carpet in the vestry which is ruined from the water leak  cue lots of cupboard shifting and lifting and decluttering of contents along the way!

Just had a coffee and a doughnut, now going to wrap a bit more before lunch and school nativity this afternoon.

Why did I decide to empty the glass cupboard to clean it? First time it's been done in years. I didn't realise I had quite so many shot glasses, tumblers, wine glasses etc. It's going to take me flipping ages to sort them and put them back!

Just having a recuperative cup of tea - oh and yes, that was another egg :)

    Hello all.

*Takes deep breath* I honestly think I'm going to have to give up this week, I'm just not well enough to do anything much. I'm managing to take Sidney for his walks, and persuade him to eat his very uninspiring food, so that's the important thing.:o

I couldn't say anything much before, as I really needed to have Mr LW's permission first, but he's said it's OK, so here goes:

Basically, we found out Monday night that his Sis1 has only days to live. Now, the thing is, we didn't even know she was ill! It seems that his Sis2 contrived to keep the information from us, basically because she hates me like poison. (Gods alone know why; I've never harmed her - Hel, I've never even met her!) Sis1's partner is in total denial, so Sis2 has taken over everything (something I'm told she's very good at).

Anyways, Mr LW made the 5 hour round trip yesterday to visit his Sis1 in the hospice; he says she was barely able to form two syllables, she's all hooked up to drips and gods know what else. Of course, he's all to pieces - he's very emotional for a man - so I'm having to be strong for him. Oh - and both sisters are younger than Mr LW.

I was already in a lupus flare before, and of course, this is making it worse, as I do very badly under even minor stress. I came away with another hairbrush-load of hair again this morning; my butterfly rash is driving me to distraction, and I'm physically very shaky, so I daren't try anything that involves the step-stool just now. (Actually, I can't even move the step-stool at the mo.....*rolleyes*)

So I guess Flying will have to just be pathetic fluttering for the time being.:o

Anyways - there you have it. Never rains but it pours, eh?:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
