Hi all I am in but won't be posting too much as I am sooooo busy! Haven't time to catch up with thread so hope all well. xx

Today I have gone a bit mad having a pre- Christmas blitz and i just cannot believe the absolute s**t I have kept!! Have recycled approximately a million old Christmas cards only keeping the very special ones as decided its ridiculous keeping them. Chucked/charity shopped a load of old decs away. Have had a ruthless toy blitz.......wonder how long (if ever!!) it takes them to realise!:rotfl: 2 black bags for charity and 4 went to the tip/recycling! Honestly writing this down is slightly embarrassing:o !! Finally sorted out my big under stairs cupboard which is where a lot of junk has come from! Bought a shelf unit and some drawers and it is now transformed! 2 of the drawers are empty awaiting presents! How organised am I!! Um did i mention this is just in the living room:rotfl::o:rotfl: ! Still not sorted all of the toys in there and still need to tackle the kids rooms!!
This is the first time i have actually sat down except to have my tea! Oh and i've also wrapped a load of pressies!

NATTY68 I'm in for your challenge...sounds like a good plan!!
    Night all. xxx

Jojo - ((Hugs)). Hope you enjoyed the Phish Food & Drinkies. Your post reminded me of the Baileys H-Daz & the 'Chunky Munkey' in the freezer..but I have so far resisted temptation.

I have failed on the sending applications out front today, - must do better tomorrow. Please feel free to throw mules at me about this if no update tomorrow (I think I'm strugging with the fact that I shoudn't technically be looking yet, but I will be struggling more with a grumpy OH if I don't).

    Flying wise I have:

    TD x1
    S&S Kitchen worktop x 1
    Wrapped Pressies x 11
Cleared Fridge of gibble ( shelves still need a wipe tomoz, but crisper thoroughly cleaned )
Made list of outstanding gifts (have since arranged to meet friend in Amazingstoke tomoz to S.H.O.P (unexpected txt rec'd), so glad I got this list done earlier, as it will help keep me focused. Also realised I have some stuff to go back, which will all help with funds!)
Made list of food required for the main event
Cleaned, descaled & bleached bath, shower, sink & loo (dunno WHAT they put in the water down here but the U-bend looked like it hadn't been touched for 15 years & it's only a few months since it was last de-scaled. It took several attacks today, hence have resolved to de-scale it MUCH more regularly in future)

Bath Mat will have to wait till the other washing & drying is clear, but WILL do it i the next couple of days.

Sleep tight all, catch you tomorrow, - Maz x

  • Okay day today

1 load in washing machine about to finish drying (normally this would have been finished by about 1 but am sick with pneumonia still so had a lie in)
Sofabed folded up and bedding put away in cupboard (am sleeping on the sofa as DH is sick and with having P i dont want anything to make it worse)
All dishes for the day washed & put away (this is my biggest challenge as i hate dishes but washing asap helps as i dont have to do a mountain just a few at a time)
Kitchen Surfaces wiped down 3 times (after cooking every meal, i do this with hot water mixed with a little bleach and a microfibre cloth, love the smell of bleach though i dont know why)
Living room, bedroom, hallway & ds room surfaces wiped down
Cleaned hoover filter and hoovered the house (i always put a little washing powder in the hoover to make it smell nice)
DS in bed @ 9 with milk & fireman sam book
Mailbox cleared of all junkmail & thown out
Hotspots all checked (nothing in them at all since i had a major clear out friday normally they would have been overflowing with paperwork)
    Quick clean of bathroom

Am going to lie down now with hot water bottle on my chest this is the only thing that makes the pain in my chest ease, & take my 3 different antibiotics as well as my painkillers, feel exhausted & sick. DH & rest of family keeps pleading with me to rest but TBH i dont know how after first few days of mindless daytime tv (though thoroughly entertaining, jeremy kyle guests you really make me appreciate my life, yes i may be in debt but people the people on the show have some serious issues i mean seriously what these people air in public i wouldnt air in a padlocked basement in a derelict house in the middle of nowhere lol) i was at my wits end and had to clean even though the house was quite clean. I need to keep my mind occupied, any suggestions? i am supposed to be on bed rest.

Quick question: Do you really have to dress to your shoes first thing in the morning (flylady) because i dont let anyone walk in my house with shoes & i just dislike wearing shoes when my feet can be comfy, does doing this help anyone here when they wake up in the mornings?

One of the little people has poured water all over my bed! It is soaked, duvet, sheet pillow and mattress.

Firstly I thought the cat was being a naughty puss but it's definatley water and loads of it. the duvet is actually dripping.

DH is out at the pub watching Man U v Arsenal. He will be home soon. Our bedroom is so cold as it is above the garage and has 3 outside walls. I think there will be alot of snuggling tonight to keep warm as the summer 4 tog duvet has come out of the understairs cupboard.

Who had a telling off earlier? My sis used to pour water in the bed when she had been told off..

I suggest you go to bed or slob on the sofa with knitting, sewing, books, cards to write.. you could even make your own.. even if for next year, crochet, films you've been meaning to watch, short 'distance learning' course .. you will simply not get well while your body is not being given time to heal..

No.. we are sensible and sane.. why would anyone wear shoes when they don't have too.. I think 90% of us do our cleaning in our jammies and shower and put on clean ones when we are done.. I only wear clothes if I am going out. We are not obsessive crazy people.. we are short on time or motivation and just like company while scrubbing the bowl and shining the sink.

Jojo, big hugs your way x
Fedup 164 at once - that sounds insane, be no good them trying those on me I'm allergic to the adhesive

Well I've been in bed a while but can't get to sleep.... Seems to happen a lot lately, maybe too much on my mind.

Not a huge amount accomplished today, well ok but not a lot of my original plans. Got some presents ordered online - don't scream I know I left it late but some were online only, got the boys big present ordered which should be here Wednesday BS (before snow) all say before Christmas so just hope the snow doesn't get in the way.

Possibly a stupid idea now I think on, but... we ended up in Ikea tonight buying a wall unit/toy storage for the play room. Positive as we will have somewhere to put things when we're sorting out this week and next but stupid as it's even more to do before Christmas & I should have been out buying presents as planned

So anyway as there is many days of nasty snow forecast from Thursday, tomorrow is shopping day. It may seem mad as I have loads to do at home but I can't shop when they are here and we had 'snow days' off school last time.

Anyways I best try get some sleep in, love and hugs to you all xx
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning All

I'm up and have walked the dog. TD has just finished so I'm going to do a HHI then see where I go from there. I can relax at work now the plays are over so that will make things easier. Nothing planned for tonight apart from getting some jobs done. I decluttered a large bag of clothes to my mate last night and there is another 2 bags of clothes waiting to go elsewhere - hopefully by tonight there'll be even more.

    Have a good day all

  • Oh well, didn't get round to today's list.

The bloke has decluttered a lot of emotional baggage in my face at full volume. Including a lot of rather unpleasant personal insults.

He then decluttered his clothes into two cases, into his car and drove off.

I, however, having done a bunch of online shopping last night whilst waiting for the washing machine to finish, have been shopping, bought a bunch of clothes for myself, some Xmas pressies for DD and some general everyday stuff.

Plus put the tree lights up for DD to decorate it this evening when she gets in (will hopefully distract from his absence).

Once she is in bed, I shall tidy up the half tub of Phish Food ice cream currently sitting in the freezer, and quite possibly a couple of drinkies, when I cleaned up a second hand beside set of IKEA drawers that someone had put out free to a good home.

    Season's Greetings :)

Hugs girl - the phishfood and alcohol sounds like a plan!
