I have 164 patches on my back and lots of surgical tape holding everything in place - testing for causes of eczema

Sorry - can't fly tonight or tomorrow - have to wait until they are removed otherwise the tape will dislodge

  • After last weeks panic tidy because MIL was baby sitting and lack of any other cleaning because DD2 was so poorly with chicken pox I am determined to keep up this week.

The plan of action is to achieve a basic clean and tidy in preparation for a mad deep Christmas clean next week when DD1 breaks up and I've finished work.

Bathroom and Downstairs loo are clean, tidy and smelling fresh.
I've got work this evening so cards and presents will have to wait.

I have also succeeded with knocking everything off todays work list hopefully I can keep this up so I can have a couple of weeks off over Christmas. Well as much time as my residents will allow.

Hugs jojo, enjoy the ice cream and alcohol :D And, you don't have to share them!

Today we went to CAB with DS1 sat and waited to be told we have to go to another 50 miles away!!!!

Luckily DH had the foresight to put wreaths in the car. We went and put them on mum and grandmas' graves and took pup for a walk!! Her first time out in the big bad world since the fractured skull! Only because we don't see many people round here.

So no flying today and probably another trip to another CAB tomorrow.

Jojo, sending you big hugs (((((Jojo))))) - enjoy your ice cream and alcohol, sounds like a very sensible idea to me. As for the RN male, they've all got faults but it's just what you're prepared to put up with.

Fedupandskint, 164 patches - oh dear. I hope they get to the bottom of your problem.

Pigpen, what car are you getting? We have a Mazda Bongo as one of our cars and it's fab when we go out as we can take 8 so can take family/friends with us. How's Freja today?

Penpen, well done on the ironing - I've some to do later but thankfully not much as been doing after each washing load *polishes halo*!

Right, GTG - have to get DD into her Cub's outfit and up to Church for Carol service.

It sounds like many hugs are needed but I am ashamed to say I don't remember who, please take all that you need in abundance. I am feeling rather stressed from work but nothing that a day with my nose at the grindstone tomorrow won't sort out, giving out hugs will calm me down sooner.

Are there NO relatively normal human males out there?
I wondered that... and you lot made clear that human males aren't normal...

    I guess..

Re RN-males.. no I don't think there are.. but some have less offensive faults than others.. violence, physical or verbal or emotional is about as low as it gets though.. Mine just lacks social skills and has obsessive traits.. I can live with that.
Sounds about right... mine sounds similar to yours... I just need to be prepared to learn to live with it. Problem is, I've been living on my own for so long I have nothing to compare him to :)

Shortbread made... it's a bit too crumbly though. Any ideas as to what I can convert it into (apart from icecream). Baby mince pies cooking. Need to clear up and get supper going so OH has no reason to be grumpy once he gets here :p

*sneaks in quietly through the back door*

How about crumbling it completely then mixing with melted butter to use for a biscuit base for something yummy like cheesecake?

ETA- how about tiffin....mmmmm...think I might need to make some of that soon.

Just a quick visit...got to collect DD1 from school shortly...she's performing her school play at the moment.

I figured that if I floored him, he'd be in the house for longer due to unconsciousness - and the pulped remains of his nose would make a terrible mess of the stairs.

    No

since the LSB walked in here on Saturday and saw the Vallikids chocolate advent calendars and asked where HIS was!

    !!!!!!!

Last time I was married I felt like I had 3 kids and not two *rolls eyes*

Still, he brought gifts. Not to be opened until 25th Dec
One's a road atlas (sarcastic gift IMO - I'm perfectly capable of ASKING for directions - as PENPEN will testify and perfectly incapable of using a road atlas)

and NO I haven't opened OR peeped LOL

He's worked out one of his is in a box :rotfl:

mind you another of his is in a box. Unfortunately it's not got here yet, though!

    Present wrapping making progress...

... no idea what to get OH though (and apparently he has no idea what to get me... which of you wants to explain it to him :p)

    Friends & their kids done
OH's parents done (nope, no idea why I've done this)
OH's ex done (don't ask...) although he may change his mind...
    DB and SIL done
    Parents partly done...
    SIL's dad probably done
I'll also have some extras (mostly food based) just in case.

Family may also be getting presents from the dog and cat to use up the stuff that was going to go in stockings, which we aren't going to have now because we're all staying in different places (although I have a cunning plan on this one). OH will be getting one whether he likes it or not :D

Shortbread appears to be OK. OH is running late as usual, so pigeon casserol should be ready when he gets here. Could have done more baking though... might make him do some with me after we've eaten... or maybe have an early night ;) and do some tomorrow instead
