Thanks everyone....actually have that book, would be great to get time to read it lol.
Maybe someone can answer this for me? The assignment is asking you to apply evaluation criteria to a written piece they've given you, and explain why you've used them. Iit as it appears, just a description of why you've selected the evaluation criteria you've used, and how they apply to the piece? This seems a little simplistic, or am I just trying to complicate matters?
Thanks

It sounds like you are on the right lines. However you will need to use academic references to back up why the criteria apply. For example, “Criteria A applies because Jones (2002) states that…..” not “I think Criteria A applies because...“. In a 1000 word essay you will need to use between 8 and 10 academic references such as books, journals etc.0 -
Great, thanks Lisa0

You are definitely on the right lines and the tips by Lisa_75 are spot on.
I completed my degree this year and understand how difficult it is to structure essays and also to interpret (Guess
) what lecturers are after.
One of my lecturers has a website that's been running for years which offers tips on assignment techniques, referencing etc.
http://www.staffs.ac.uk/schools/business/bsadmin/staff/s3/jamr.htm
I found some of it particularly useful and it really helped boost my grades.
(just ignore the strange pictures of him in his hiking gear.... you know what lectureres can be like!!!!:rotfl: )"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -

If you have to write a biography on someone do you just write about what they acheived etc in their life regarding legislations etc they have produced or do you have to include a real life history?
Im a bit baffled by what they are expecting off me.
Thanks0
