Changing mobile due to crashing
hi,
not sure if im posting this in the correct place, if not please move it.
I have got a Nokia E72 on contract with 3 and have had nothing but problems with the phone since getting it.
I had a replacment phone with in the first 7 days of having the phone due to the phone crashing. 2 weeks ago i took the phone into a 3 store and sent it off to be repaird for its constant crashing and unable to update the firmware due to the phone not connecting to laptop via usb cable.
When i finialy got the phone back (delayed due to the snow), i managed to do a firmware update to the latest version and now if anything its worst.
The phone crashes all the time and is more use as a paper weight then a phone. Im not the only one having problems as if you search google for E72 crashing there are pages after pages of this happening.
Am i with in my right to return the phone and change it for a different make/model as the E72 is crashing so much?
thanks

Is the phone branded in the firmware with "3" stuff? If so I think the networks often take awhile to even bother approving the firmware update and sometimes don't bother at all.
You may be able to reset the firmware to generic branding and then update the firmware to the actual latest version. nokiausers.net has info on this.
Apologies if the above doesn't apply to your phone or if you are already aware of this!

This time, spend some time prior to choosing one and study the reviews to avoid getting a model that has reported problems. There is always a lesson to be learned from a bad experience.0 -

mat.knott - the HTC Desire is the phone I'd love to get and is available quite cheaply, but there seem to be major problems with a rebooting issue. Make sure you research it fully before you plump for another dud.0
