WARNING: O2 sell faulty phones & won't replace them

it's the same with all the networks. You have to send the phone off at least 3 times before they will replace it.
vodafone drove me mad with this policy a few years ago, so don’t change network expecting things to be different0 -
My route would be one speak to the shop manager ask for a replacement as not fit for purpose .
That fails independent engineers report on the phone and small claims court .
That goes for any retail outlet and those that mention 28 days are told that no such term exists in consumer law .

I think you've rather missed the point about the 28 days and what is offered. It's an extra to your statutory rights, not an attempt to replace them.0 -

Nope its the excuse given by many retail outlets that after 28 days they are unable to replace the item etc etc .Head office says 28 days and the retail staff work to that not your statutory rights .

The sales of good act says the retailer can either replace or repair the item, but it's up to the retailer which they do, so if it's more cost effective to repair the phone O2 are well within their rights to repair the phone.
Replacing the phone with an alternative handset would be nothing to do with rights, it would be a goodwill gesture from O2, however you may be able to get a refund.0 -

Unfortunately I've got to phone Orange tomorrow
1. Any changes to a contract should be notepaded then ask for the tape ! May have to speak to a sup to get them to listen to the call
2. Have the phones be replaced for the same reason. Ask for the equipment codes it will be an FW*** 3 of the same and ask for a DMR - dif model replacement
Hope this gives you some Ammo0
