Need new carpet for bedrooms

Wonder if anyone can help please.
Need a new carpet for upstairs bedrooms and hall. Went to 2 shops and because I have children they tried to sell me a carpet called Trident Heather as it can be cleaned with bleach if the children spill anything on it.
I am a bit doubtful about this and wonder if it is a marketing ploy for me to buy this carpet and if anyone has any information about it?
As it is just for bedrooms I wonder if anyone can recommend what sort of carpet I should be looking for.
Thanks in advance.

We didn't have that carpet, but at our old house we had one that was I think 'stainmaster' or something like that. It sounds like the same thing - the fibres are not dyed, the colour is actually in the carpet fibres if that makes sense. It was cream so got grubby very quickly, but when professionally cleaned it came up like new. If you can get that sort of thing without paying a big premium I think it is probably worth it.0

So 2 independent shops recommended it and you thought you may get better advice from the general public on here?!
As above unless its ridiculously more expensive I would consider it as it sounds like a good idea. HOWEVER as its for your bedroom, is there a high risk of spills and stains?
I would also say if its for your bedroom then get the thickest underlay (11mm if you can) you can and it will make any carpet feel like a millions pounds worth. just check out online prices for the underlay and get the shop to match it or buy the underlay separately, as carpet shops often mark up their underlay and gripper rods etc to make more money on the oevrall deal0 -
To be fair, 2 retailers recommending it, doesn't mean it's right for the OP?
I bet if I went to Ford they'd recommend to top of the range model that is £3K more than one that was perfectly suitable for me!!
I heard all the bleach thing when I was looking at took it with a pinch of salt and chose a carpet I liked in the price range I was looking to spend.0
