Hi All
I rang Orange to order an Orange E1752 wi-fi dongle on the one month 500Mb plan. They quoted me £29 for the dongle and £10 for the first month.
However I told the operator that online the E1752 dongle is only £5!! He said he had not got that offer andf if I wanted it he would charge £29.
I went back online and bought the dongle for £5
Pasted from the Orange site: 1 month 500MB anytime choose dongle
So the Online saving is £24 on the telephone sales of £29 !!!

PS Also the site says existing customers get £5 per month discount and to ring for this. When I rang I was told it was on 12 month contracts only. However my one month invoice also says ring for the customer £5 per month discount??

I did check that he wasn't confusing the 515m dongle @ £39 for the L1752 but he was clear that he wasn't?

It's not a Wi-Fi dongle it's mobile broadband dongle. Wi-Fi will use your PC's own Wi-Fi if you select a suitable plan.

Still no explanation as to why the Orange phone salesman offered the same mobile broadband dongle for £29 instead of £5!>

And still no explanation as why no thanx when showing people how to turn this into a profit making venture

Many apologies, I really thought I'd clicked the Thanks button!!
Unfortunately, I had already ordered and paid before putting up the original message. I need to look into the Quidco situation as it is new to me.

Update: Spoke to a good Orange rep today after a long wait. I had had an email asking me to give my debit card details again. They explained that their order system had crashed last week.
Anyway, not only could he match the £5 dongle, BUT would reduce an existing customer's monthly payments by £5 per month even on the 30 day contracts!!
