Given the choice of me and my family being poor and scratching out a living together, or me taking the easy route and leaving my family to their fate, its an easy decision. Money is just a means to an end, its nice to have but its not worth your life.
Daft really, but there you go.
He must have been under simply enormous pressure, forever having to answer questions, with the threat of a major prison sentence lurking in the background somewhere. He'd had this pressure for 2 years, with no likelihood of it easing up in the foreseeable future. In some ways, it might have been easier for him if he'd been indicted and had a trial. Then he'd have known one way or the other. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

This forum makes me laugh sometimes. How do you want me to answer that? Yes, Afghanistan has something to do with economics. Everything has some link to economics.
But just to be clear, someone came on and asked why people on an economics forum were discussing the death of someone who is linked to one of the biggest economic stories of the past few years, and why we weren't giving the same level of discussion to the death of civilians due to a war in Afghanistan. I was just pointing out why.
That all makes sense, doesn't it?0 -

Even the Nice People thread has something to do with economics?
I guess its all linked to the price of chocolate....Not Again0 -
Why do people actually care if this guy has committed suicide, you have no links to him whats so ever.
Why is there not a thread relating to the civilian deaths caused by uk forces in afghanistan?
The Afghanistan war is costing us a fortune in human life and money and we should withdraw imo. Let us leave the Taliban in charge where women have zero rights and face stoneing along with gays, if they even venture out alone. No schooling for girls. No votes for anyone. No right of religious choice. Let us leave them to a civil war where thousands of civilians will die.... but not by UK forces. Would you feel better then Damaged?
With regards why there is not a thread on civilian deaths by uk forces in Afghanistan it is because nobody has started one..... or maybe it is a CIA plot.0 -

Its more to do with theories on love economy.
Even the pope is saying niceness will help the economy.....
and the price of chocolate....
Having somewhere to be collegiate means we can disagree, challenge and debate in a less one dimensional manner. Its not mandatory.:)
I think this is devastating news. The acts of a greedy man have left a two year old child orphaned.
The greed is absolutely disgusting of course, but perhaps so is the behaviour of society ''visiting the sins of the father'' on innocent generations. The other side of this greed is from us and media houndin and harping and personalising to those not just guilty but the people around them.
I'm not sure why my post had two religious inferences in it.

Nothing to do with him having to face a complete change of lifestyle & not being able to face it then?
