umm I agree...for me weight is a constant battle and always has been and I suspect always will. I am now happy the I am meant to be curvy but at the moment am just plain fat ...need to shift it for my health and self esteem. Seeing nurse on Thurs to get GP referral for excercise (3rd time lucky eh!) so reallly cant wait for the fat talk which annoys me as the food thing is a deep seated thing and its just not as simple as eat less, excercise more! Thus continuing councelling next year to try and deal with it for once and for all...have always felt that if you dont deal with the root cause of WHY I eat then it will never change. I know that there is a link between love and food but dont yet know how to break the destructive association of food replacing love - esp as I know its destructive, I hate being this big and want not to be....plus I know that I am loved so seems a bit pointless iykwim! Anyway we shall see...right on that very deep note time for bed!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Thing is you can just stop eating like other addictions. I eat for just about any reason and sometimes Im not sure why Im eating.
Anyways good to hear you are enjoying the new role ISOM. Im sure the kids/peeps you help will be grateful. 15-25 is a tough time in life full of uncertainty in yourself.
Look forward to hearing the cunning plan if all goes well.

hi ISOM i'm usually a lurker but had to say good luck with the career change as I have just started virtually the same job by the sounds of it and it's a completely new start for me too so fingers crossed we both do well! I'm loving it so far even with the incredible mood swings that come with 16 year olds!! Anyway best wishes and I will follow your new diary and if you have any great ideas for motivating/supporting the young un's...I'll nick them!:D0

aww thanks for coming out of lurkdom to say hi...lovin the name too as me wants a vw camper! What work are you doing? Feel free to pm if you dont want to say on open board! Despite being initially terrified am now getting used to them but its a steep learning curve and before long know I will end up saying things like "proper like!" and the "yeah but...listen right" etc that smatter conversations! Cant help but love em though - many just little kids in a teenage body who just want to be loved!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I don't have my lovely camper anymore:( But will get another one soon! I'm working for a supported housing org with the same age group exactly as you so am also getting a crash course in whats cool and whats definately not, the wierd thing is that even though I still feel like a young person myself most of the time, they obviously see me as an old fart who has never done anything stupid and has had a cushty life (ok its not been as bad as some of theirs but far from easy!) I am starting to realise my age. Its so interesting though and a million things to do so the time just flies, I'm really enjoying it and hopefully it will turn into a great career, just had my first supervision which went great so feeling very positive, will also be debt free as of Jan which has been a long haul but soooo happy its almost here.
2011 will be fantastic (for all of us) I hope:D0
