Have been remiss, not paid more than mins and had alot of extra expenses so the total has gone up rather than down. Thankfully I will get a payment from car crash which will take it to an acceptable level (or rather acceptable to me level!) but I really need to get angry and crack at it as been drifting way too long.
That's such a disheartening feeling isn't it ? When you think you're at least keeping a handle on debts .. then suddenly discover they've gone up not down, despite what you're doing to lower them. It's like being slapped in the face with a wet fish

Much as I love it its taking up space and I rarely have time to use it so off she goes...fingers crossed I get a decent amount for it...also debating selling my Wii as never use it and its pretty much brand new; only problem is that loads of people are flogging them at the moment...
I can empathise with that ISOM, I've got some things that I really need to let go - despite my attachment to them. Some are dad's and some are mine, but they're taking up room which we don't have whilst not being made use of to justify keeping them.In_Search_Of_Me wrote: »So there ya go; Im back and wonder whether I will ever get it and be debt free...I also will probably need to come up with £10,000 have my stomach stapled as have been turned down by the NHS twice now...ironically I'm apparently too healthy!
I'm not sure I'm even at the stage where I can start dreaming of being debt free, let alone confident or relaxed about it. I too seem to still be going through the start ,, stop .. start,,, stop cycle - and not yet got to the keep peddling steadlily bit. Think there's definately something missing from my planning steps. :cool:In_Search_Of_Me wrote: »We are off to Italy for Christmas which will be lovely but while were gone the soundproofing will be done on the flat and thats going to cost about £500 but will be worth every penny if the +++++downstairs will leave us in peace! !
Christmas in Italy, that should be lovely ISOM - fingers crossed it will be an opportunity for you to re-charge and clear yourself some head space to move forward next year.:A

Hi ya Ditto on the emotional front so much has gone on that figures looking bad and im out of a job. BUT im feeling myself again and there are enough positives to keep me going. Not focusing on debt busting for now until i land a job then ill decide on a course of action. Debt busting can be to much when there is other stuff to consider which for me is mine and my families wellbeing at the moment.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0

I too have had some tough times this year. It is hard to get round anything else. What I really want is a break from everything. I think I shall have to ask for it though as there are so many pressures on my time at the moment.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

i am also looking into surgery, i'm currently awaiting the pct's decision on whether i can have funding to have lapband surgery - not expecting anything though as they're getting even worse at giving out money. Otherwise i'll have to try and find about £8k which given the move we're about make it's pretty far down the joint agenda even if it's high up on my agenda.0

Welcome greyhound angel! Come in and say hi any time!
LT good luck with the PCT! They have turned me down twice so planning a plan...we shall see! Setting up a blog to see if I can raise money but feel quite nervous about this ...
Sorry to hear about the lack of job LT...feel I have been a bad DFW friend
very sorry...Anything on the horizon? How are the kids doing? Are they still with their dad?
Chev sorry you have had a bad time of it too...can relate to the hanging on bit...I do wonder if I will ever be free of recent events and feel that some changes are needed to achieve that but it means mustering much lacking energy...:(
So far not been a great week DFW wise - had a Christmas meal last night but no alcohol (have pretty much given drinking up all togeather as it makes me feel so ill) so cheap and I paid cash from babysitting.
The money came off my card from piggy raid! (no point saving £2 when you have interest being paid!)
Generally more conscious of what I spend and made soup so a start at least!
The next couple of weeks is very busy as I try to finish stuff up before I go on leave which work wise is a mare...got my Christmas cards for my young people out but none of mine!! Presents pretty much done and very little to pay for plus using up contents of the freezer...slowly slowly catchy monkey!
Just very slowly in my case lol!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
