For those who dont know me (most cos Ive been rubbish at posting!) heres the previous chapter;
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1919573

Last year goes down as possibly the most eventful and without going into details can just say that its good to move on and I need to draw a line under things for my own sanity. Due to job uncertainty I had a year of minimum payments, followed by some much needed breathing space and now its time to get back on the frugal wagon.

Much is as it was when I started in terms of bad habits (will I ever learn!!) in the buying lunch for work and parking slid back in but now time to walk the mile each way for free parking (need the excercise anyway!) and be organised about lunch...and go back to ye olde spending diary and have bought a diary that can accomodate it so no excuses! Also seriously considering meal planning and doing online shop as I do get tempted by those things that I dont need but just "find" themselves in my trolly!

Also need to loose weight as have put on masses in the last year and ankles and back are now agony on a daily basis.

Main aim is get the rest of the CC paid off in 2011...so here I come, ready or not!

    Thought I'd just posted on here but obviously not :)

    With you on the losing weight and doing exercise - my back is getting worse the more weight I pile on (although legs and bum fat, tummy is were it's worse which impacts directly on the back).

  • aww lovely to see all my DFW mates here and ready to join me in the next chapter of my life! Chatted things through with mum today and were going to try meal planner next year (for the first time ever!) and we'll do a list which we will try to keep to rather than my current amble around the shops which results in extras! What with that and possibly internet shopping we should make huge savings. In terms of the flat we are thinking of staying here and converting the loft into a bedroom. Both of us love the area and the main minus is not having a garden but probably a good move - or not move as the case may be!
    Despite all the above spent quite a bit today as needed sommat to wear for works do on Friday. Thankfully spending money was earned from babysitting so no more to shell out. Just need to get my feet in order as wearing backless clippy cloppy shoes!
    Re loosing weight am seeing GP on Thurs to get Gp referral for excercise which will mean I swim half price...was debating tap dancing but not sure my back will take it at the mo. Stomach is HUGE (think apron of skin yeugh!) so jumping poss not a good plan...may try find a swim plan as love swimming but need a goal! Possibly do one of the swimming awards ...we'll see!
    Anyway...looking forward to us all getting each other through the next phase!
