Oh well, Crimbo over for another year and a few days in between to think about things...

Great to have a few days off work and enjoyed spending time with la familia. :TAlso got some really thoughtful Christmas pressies which I'm v grateful for.

Also pressies that will help me on my DFW journey - crafty things that I can use for pressies for peeps, and the like. :T

I also got some money. Now wondering what to do... Half it and pay some off debt:A and buy myself a new handbag with the rest:o??? Keep it all as my yoga course deposit??? :AThink I need to get budgeting/bank a/c checking to see the current cash situ and how Jan will shape up. Cannot end up in my overdraft in the first month of the year!!
  • Money in purse: £47.57 + £20 voucher + £220
Money in bank after mortgage comes out: £150

OK, here's where I am... I'll take another £100 out of the bank to last until 24th Jan. Doable? :o Hope so.

Of the £47.57 - £2 is going to kickstart my £2 coin savings; 57p is going in the pot...

So £145 as 'pocket money' until January payday... Eek.

The £220 is Christmas money... Going shopping in January and really want a new handbag... :o There, I've said it! :o I know I should probably hold off buying this until Feb to make sure I don't creep into overdraftdom at the end of Jan... We'll see how things are going come the middle of the month.

2011 is here! :j Crikey time flies!

Definitely starting off this year better than the last. About £3.5k better :j and with a wedding and honeymoon in between I think that's a pretty reasonable amount.

My major expenses this year is going to be selling the flat and yoga teacher training.

The YTT is different though in that it is a monthly payment so I should be able to wangle that into the budget.

The flat on the other hand is probably going to end up being a big fat massive debt. I got a NR together mortgage - about £68k mortgage and £8k loan. Shhh, don't tell the buyers out there, but if I can even get £68k for this place I would jump at the chance (even though I paid closer to £80k!!) and happily take on the debt. The loan part of the mortgage would shoot up quite a bit (%-wise) but there's nothing stopping me taking out a lower rate loan to clear that one.

Going to get the place in shape for selling! (yeah, yeah, I've heard it before, I hear you cry! OH's redundancy last year put the last sale on hold but it's definitely time to get out of here now.)

Woo hoo! Used a bag I haven't used for a while yesterday and found £40 in it!!

    Now £185 cash for Jan!

Also got a bag for ebay and should get quite a few quid for it - includes old straightners (got new ones for Crimbo) and unopened perfume. Hoping to make about £100 from ebay in Jan. :T
